Hi,

There seems to be no easy way to contact GOG so I came here. I have a few requests:-

1) I seem to have bought a copy of System Shock:Enhanced, and System Shock: Classic. After reading the small print more carefully, I find that the enhanced version also includes the classic version as well in it. Is there any way to cancel this and get a refund?

2) I seem to recall that I bought not only the pillars of eternity pc game but also its (white marches?) expansion. Yet, on the gog galaxy I have, it does not mention the expansion as being one of my pc games, yet, when I clicked on the white marches expansion while doing a general search of GOG, I came across the word "owned" outlined in green. I am assuming that that means that I did indeed buy the expansion, although GOG galaxy did not make this clear to me at all. Am I right?

3) By pure error(I was buying a lot of PC games at the time and clearly got confused), I bought some elder scrolls pc games, elder scrolls: arena and elder scrolls:daggerfall. Can I return them to gog and get a refund? I haven't played a single one pc game of the 30 or so I recently downloaded, so I think this is fair..

4) If this is the wrong place to contact GOG, then please can someone tell me how to contact them properly? Thanks!

If you've not DLed the game yet, you can contact Support and they'll probably refund it.

Did you check your library through the website here? If it's in your library here, you own it. As ell, check in your Orders and Settings in your account. You should be able to find the record of the transaction where you bought it.

You got them free when you bought one of the Elder Scrolls games.
If you downloaded it, then it's yours. Unless you have technical problems, the time to ask for a refund is before you started to download the game. You might be able to convince them to give you a refund but don't hold your breath. This isn't gOg being crappy; instead it's a consequence of being DRM-free without a client that can prevent you from playing refunded games.

Anyway, contacting gOg can be done here: https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us

Good luck.

In the case of System Shock, even if he DLed it, they may refund anyway. Since the Enhanced version includes the classic version, I figure they'd likely be amenable to the proposition. It would be an easy enough mistake to make, and it's not like he'd get to keep something he doesn't already have anyway.

Let me put a "Generally speaking" at the beginning. ; )

But yeah, it would make sense for a refund in a specific case like this, especially if a lesser version was purchased in the same transaction. Hopefully they'll improve the store to catch things like this.

Just checked my library, and it turns out the White March expansion(s) don't have a separate entry in your games list. They're included under the main Pillars of Eternity list. So when you click on that game to get to the game page, the White March will be listed there.

Yep, I was just clarifying for the OP's sake. GOG are pretty reasonable about things like this, so wanted to make sure he didn't decide it wasn't going to happen and not bother trying.

I hear ya. Clarification helps.

You can only get System Shock Classic by buying the Enhanced Edition; it cannot be purchased separately. It will have its own separate entry in your game library though.

Most DLC won't have a separate entry in your library. There should be some way to view it - when accessing the account page on the website, DLC download links are presented along with the download links for the main game. Not sure how it is for Galaxy because I don't use it (it's not even available for Linux)

You get those for free when you buy a Bethesda game here.

I was thinking about that and it's probably listed under the MORE button under Backups and Goodies. If I remember, I'll check when I get home from work.

*edit* Oh, and good point about the Classic version of System Shock. I didn't realize it wasn't available for separate purchase.

Thanks for the replies which got me the answers I wanted. I'll contact gog re all these issues. I'm also very grateful for the speediness and frequency of the replies. On other online forums, where I am one of the more advanced members, I seem to be one of the very few who bothers to answer newbies' questions. Thanks a lot!

Oh, and I haven't yet downloaded a single one of the recent gog pc games I bought, at least not on my own PC, so that should be OK.
