The shell on the Asus units always keep me from taking a serious look at them. Looks like it adds external bulk, and it's already tough to find an affordable rolling laptop bag that fits a 17" unit. My XPS barely squeaks into my bag now and there's no way a 17" RoG will fit.

That said, I'm a bit moist after hearing about that 19" laptop.

It's a shame Dell took the power and customization options out of the XPS line; you could build a sweet gaming machine that looked like an ordinary unit. Now the Dell option forces you into Alienware. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing - or somewhere in-between. The add-on "Graphics Amplifier" looks interesting, allowing for near-desktop performance if you plug it in to the laptop.

timppu: What the heck? 19"? Did it come with two servants who carry it around for you?
I needed a personal computer which is also compact and relatively easy to carry. The specs claimed it's got complete 5+1 sound. I thought "A single computer without speakers doesn't fit the properties for a 5+1 config, what the hell!" Then I put it on table and I understood as it spanned from horizon to horizon.

I seriously didn't even know there are 19" laptops, I'm pretty sure I've never seen one. I thought 17.3" laptops are the biggest there are, at least in the consumer market.

I'd expect one to also cost quite a bit more, since I presume 19" laptop screens are rarer => more costly.

EDIT: On the ASUS pages, I just found the one and only laptop that is bigger than 17.3"; K95VB which is specced with a 18.4" screen.

So it seems laptops larger than 17.3" do exist, they are just quite rare.
I missed a killer deal by 20 min today. I was looking Craigs list for a laptop and found a like new Asus G751 for $250 . I quickly wrote them and had just missed it....sigh.

Another time I found a kick ass Toyota 4x4 pickup for $900...guy had cheated and his gf/wife was selling it while he was at work..it sold but I missed it.
Some laptops are specially designed for gaming. If you check the Amazon best selling laptops, you may be presented a number of options that meet your requirements.
