I've received a promo code worth 15PLN (~4USD) for Google Play store and I need some help in choosing a game to buy. Here are my preferences:
- First of all it has to be a single game, I can't use the code to buy several cheaper games. I don't mind if the game is slightly more expensive.
- No sport nor FPS games.
- No pay to win games. I prefer no IAP whatsoever but paid DLCs or other purchases that are not needed to enjoy the game can be tolerated
- I play on 5 inch phone so the game should have good controls for such a device
- My playstyle on mobile is 5 minutes here, 15 minutes there so a game which can be played in short sessions is preferable.

At the moment I'm considering:
rymdkapsel
Rebuild 3: Gangs of Deadsville
Iron Marines
911 Operator
The Escapist
60 Seconds!

If you have any experience with them please share it. If you want to suggest other game I'm open to hear your opinions. Thanks a lot!
Devil's Attorney is pretty great. It's genuinely funny.

Got it already but yeah, I had a blast playing it :)
Icewind Dale Enhanced Edition is on sale now for 2,09€, the 2 Reigns games are at 1,09€ each and Door Kickers at 3.99€

EDIT : I just found out that the price for the full version of Exiled Kingdoms is 3,99.

While I can't help you with the games you're considering (I haven't played any of these), here are some, that I massively enjoy:

If you like board games (or at least are not totally against the idea of playing board games on a mobile), here are some that I have installed and play regularly:

greeklover: Icewind Dale Enhanced Edition
It's a good suggestion but for this kind of games I prefer to play them on PC

Yeah, I've seen it but I would waste my promo code this way ;) I'll probably get them anyway

greeklover: Door Kickers
I have it already :)

I'm not sure how this promo code works. It seems it's not for IAPs and that's how you are suppose to unlock the full version of Exiled Kingdoms.

BreOl72: snip
I have every ...GO title and while I do enjoy board games I have so many of them on my phone that this time I would like to get something else.

I just downloaded Exiled Kingdoms and to register the full version, there are options to pay and an option to redeem code. Maybe your code works there??? Or it is another kind of code, maybe a promo one. Want to try? It's a bit less than 100MB.
I'm not sure what you like but here some games I liked on Android.

Worms 2 & 3
The Room 1, 2, & 3
Bloons TD 5
OTTTD

I don't know if your into emulation but the best stuff I've played on Android is actually my old PS1 games that I got to work using FPse or ePSXe. ePSXe is a little more user friendly and has a little more compatibility with PS1 titles while FPse has more advanced options like hi-res openGL graphics and multiplayer between multiple Androids.

Thanks but I have a bad experience with promo codes that I tried to activate, didn't work but made the code usless anyway. But thanks for your suggestion!

That is why I tried to find a person who knows games I mentioned in OP. It is rather difficult to mention all games I own and from your list I only don't have The Room series but it's not a type of game I want to play on my phone. Thanks for your suggestions though!

I can suggest games, but not much in the way of paid games. (Foss life, as it were.)

There's I am Level, Droidfish chess, Randomhack, The Simon Tatham Puzzle Collection, Simple Brick Games, Simple Solitaire Collection, Vector Pinball, and Robot Finds Kitten.

I can also reccomend: Clue, HyperRogue, OpenTTD, OpenTyrian, RealMyst, RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic, and 2048 by Uberspot.
rymdkapsel
-got this off humble bundle but never got around to really playing it, seemed too abstract for my taste

Rebuild 3: Gangs of Deadsville
-this is a fun little lite strategy game, you can make it turn based but it isn't difficult at all and you can easily game the system to create virtually superhuman survivors

Iron Marines
-waiting for this to come to humble bundle where these games don't have microtransactions. Looks really fun except it follows the same model as Kingdom Rush where you have to pay for most heroes despite it being a premium game. Humble bundle has all the heroes unlock by progression rather than cash.

911 Operator
-never played it

The Escapist
-It's not a pick up for 5 minutes type game really. It is fun though.

60 Seconds!
-no, just no. The controls are terrible on mobile for the realtime portion of the game and the choose your own adventure part is rather boring.

If you can wait a while - Stardew Valley is coming to Android pretty soon. I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks a lot! You really helped me to narrow it down. So, 60 seconds! is out of the question and so is Iron Marines.

I made a little research/tried a few demos and The Escapist seems that I would enjoy it more on PC and 911 Operator is definitely not my thing (tried the demo).

Now I'm thinking about something completely different, namely The Quest
