NOTE: This is a fix for opengl issues on older games on Intel Mobile 4 series chipsets only.

I have done some research and found the exact problem. Microsoft. They tried to push people away from opengl. And have completely ignored adding anything other than 1.1 WDDM generic drivers in their installations past Windows 7. Being a user of win8.1 pro. This driver needs to be added to your packaged game. Or we will have to try and use unsigned drivers in our laptops from vista/7 in order to run this game. It is microsofts fault. Just like they tried to exclusively use dx11 in win10 only. When the rest of the industry will use Vulkan, or dx10 instead. Please update your game to include the legacy drivers required to play.

I just wanted to write and verify. This solution worked. I unzipped the file. Changed the settings to not require digital signature. And to not automatically update. And have installed the modified .inf file like it suggested at the link. SW:Kotor runs perfectly now. It was crashing at launch. Probably because of the WDDM 1.1 driver from Microsoft (they dropped opengl from win8+ driver files). Using the modified ighld64.inf file, and copying and pasting from 64.6.0 into the 64.6.2 field, then reinstalling drivers like it said to (under device manager update device software), choose the options it states, browse yourself, let you pick, then have disk, point it to the modified .inf file, takes about 2 minutes to install, the display will kick twice to a blank screen, comes right back, and installs perfectly under win8.1 pro. Had to Run the game under campatibility for win7. But this product works again. I can provide the modified .inf file if your company wishes. This is a fix for intel mobile 4 series gpu that allows the game to run properly. From win8 and newer, Microsoft completely dropped opengl from being able to be ran. No opengl game will ever run on the WDDM drivers from win8+.

This site does not like letting people post links for some strange reason, so I had to drop the hyper text transfer protocol secure tags from the address.
