And while I personally would love to play both of them, I don't really see any company that would be willing to invest the necessary time and money, to convert these console games from 30 years ago to the PC for today's players.

There's no market available to regain the investment.

I've played D&D Warriors of the Eternal Sun years ago. The biggest issue for the game at this point is that it uses the Mystara campaign setting. While this was the default D&D setting at one point, Greyhawk became the default with 3e and Forgotten Realms the default with 5e. Mystara itself went out of print in the 1990s.

While I wouldn't mind seeing this game ported to PC and in print again, I'd be far more excited about a PC port of the Castle Ravenloft board game. More PC games need to be made that give me the opportunity to avoid being dinner for Count Strahd von Zarovich.

P.S.: There's really no need for an investment of any sort, just a packaging of existing ROMs with already available free and open source emulators, as per the SNK formula.

Having a Sega Genesis game on GOG would not be a first. But a PC Engine one would :P.

To be fair there are games on GOG originally from 1990 (and prior) including PC ports like Gate of Doom.

I believe Warriors of the Eternal and Order of the Griffon are both "around" running on emulation. It would seemingly take very little to get them playable and on storefronts.

The biggest issue IMO would be the IP rights.

I loved warriors of the eternal sun, except that web is an "I win" button in overworld combat.

If you're pointing out the release dates, I'd argue that has nothing to do with it whatsoever. There are some C64 titles on GOG as well, originally released on tape.

I'll keep it short:

Super Huey™ UH-IX (released for C-64 in 1985) - was ported over to MS-DOS in1988.
Super Huey™ II (released for C64 in 1987) - got released for MS-DOS in 1988.

... and how is this relevant, considering the GOG releases are NOT the MS-DOS versions, rather the original emulated C-64 releases?

All I'm saying is that where there's a will, there's a way. Emulators are very prolific in this day and age so bringing a game over on PC from another platform has never been easier. At least in theory. There are still plenty of ways to screw it up, of course.

Old enough to have bought the Eternal Sun when it first came the genesis. Beat it and while it turns from a overhead tabletop figurine game to a indoor Dungeon Crawl style game. The game is somewhat decent these days using old mechanica. I would say try it. Is it spectacular? No. But for the depth it has, it is surprising, how well it plays. If you want more depth. Try Rings of Power for the sega genesis. You also will need the manual with the full guide and map. It plays similar to a low graphic Ultime 6 or 7. Hard too.

I'm sure all of these are out there somewhere emulated, but would be cool to see them on a legitimate storefront... especially the D&D titles. With D&D popularity, I imagine they would move a few copies

I am looking for the follow up game to Dungeons and Dragons the warriors of the eternal flame game
as it gave us a code at the end to use in the followinng game. I heard their was one that was released
in Japan and i have never been able to find it or a reference about it.'

I hope someone might have good news about this.
