On MobyGames I read about an interesting mech game called "Gun Metal." Has anyone played it before?
Hello.
I have playde Gun Metal.
It is rather arcade game with "Super Robot" like mech.
In mecha mode mech have personal shield/force field, like in Halo.
If i remembre correctly Q key is rsponslble for transforming into jet, with is very fast and agile, but lack shields.
Of course. there are variety of diffrent weapons that player can if i remember correctly, buy between missions for accumulated cash.
In my opinin game should be available on gog, but for some reason it is not, while it is in Steam and ZOOM platform store.
I hope i helped somehow.
Best regards
Mateuszy

EDIT: Of course game is lacking in some fields. It has only camping mode, and in my opinion it should have something like horde / endless vaves mode - Player, some pool of credits for weapons, endless waves of enemies and leaderboard. Unfortunately nothing like that exist if i am correct.

I played it several years ago but didn't finish it. Was very meh as far as I remember.
I read your review and really wish I could play this game! Do you think GOG might be able to get it?

I suspect GOG could easily get it but I'm not sure they care enough since it's only $3 on Steam and they'd be "obligated" to sell it for a similar price.

Still, people can vote:

I've been in contact with the devs of that game. Afaik the rights are still with the financial company Campbell Saunders & Co. in Canada; could never get in touch tho

I'm glad to know the devs haven't vanished off the face off the earth. Might have to tell them to get real manual; writing in a letter or sending in a fax. Unless the financial company itself is dead.

I know there's a box of unopened copies of GunMetal at Computer Reset in Dallas.

But given that they have an up to date website, I doubt that.
Funny how game rights can land in the hands of basically any completely random company out there :P

I don't think it would take much nagging from GOG to bring the game here. But GOG has to be interested in the first place...
