I ask because this isn't on anywhere but the Switch. When I reference these Mobile games they are likely Vodophone games...in other words, when Squaresoft and Capcom and others were seriously in this space, developing fleshed out full games as they saw this as a viable new market.
I see this as a means for me to play and preserve them as well. Some I believe are entirely new games while I THINK others may be remakes and others are just ports.
I don't have switch, but I remember seeing some G-mode games on steam a while ago. Mostly shmups and obscure jrpgs and stuff in japanese-only. I don't know much about mobile games, but at least in the case of shmups like Dodonpachi etc, those g-mode versions are like mobile conversions of sorts. They resemble their arcade counterpart in design and general gameplay, but I would think of them as e.g. a gameboy version of pc/console game back then. Depending on source material, some games might be close to 1:1 conversions/ports though. Others are original games.

However I don't have much interest in mobile games and zero interest in phones in general. When I'm in mood for something obscure, I browse JP PC titles for pc-88 & 98, X68k, fm towns, msx 1 & 2, etc. When there is a new fan-translation/romhack of some obscure game from 80s/90s, it's interesting to check it out finally in EN.

Yeah, yeah it's the G-Mode ones I mean. Remember these weren't mobile games developed with the mentality of Apple/Android but the intent was fully fledged and comprehensive games. Case in point, at one time, Capcom was looking at "Megaman Legends 3" being released on Mobile.
