Bah. St Pats here is as about as Irish as spaghetti.
May the blessing of light be on you—
light without and light within.
May the blessed sunlight shine on you
and warm your heart
till it glows like a great peat fire.

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

F1ach: Never heard of Killians, but on looking it up, the packaging is VERY similar to Kilkenny Beer, so maybe I walked past it thinking it was Kilkenny.. I'll keep an eye out for it now that it's on the radar.

Gerin: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killian's

I had to look this up. Killian's was created in Ireland but isn't sold there anymore. :(
Thanks for the heads up Gerin :)

zenwan: Happy St. Paddy's Day. Beannacht libh.

From one of my favourite poets:

May the nourishment of the earth be yours,
may the clarity of light be yours,
may the fluency of the ocean be yours,
may the protection of the ancestors be yours.
And so may a slow
wind work these words
of love around you,
an invisible cloak
to mind your life.

F1ach: That's pretty awesome, I'll surely check out some more of his stuff, cheers!
He was a wonderful poet, sadly he died a few years ago.

Only an Irish poet - and a very fine one - could use words the way he did, like a caress.
I love his poetry, glad you liked it also.
Happy ST Paddy's Day, just heading out to the pub, hope to Christ the beer is not green :)
