What are some meta pointers that characters in a work of fiction would find handy?


The one I have applies to any video game. If you are the main character, always fail at everything. Eventually the player controlling you would give up and use cheat codes to get to the end. This sounds like a lot of effort, but it's not as much work as going through the game from start to finish.

That's not true at all, I'm either going to find fault with the programming or balancing, or decide (as with RTS) the genre just isn't for me. Either way, it's a fast-track to DELETED.
