YEAAH! YEAAAAH! YEEEEAH!!! SPACE TRUCKING!!! YEEEEAH YEEEAH YEEEEAH!!!

tinyE: Bruce was in Xena all the time, as was Sam's brother. All of them were in the 1st Spider-Man movie.
avatar
Sachys: Special guest appearence from Kevin Sorbo incoming!
I gave up on him when he did that stupid religious propaganda movie. The whole fucking thing was a giant Atheist bash fest.
This looks awesome thanks.. I laughed so hard... Hail to the king baby!
avatar
Navagon: I had no idea what to expect; but that looks like the new best reason to own a television.
avatar
Breja: Right? For the first time in a long time I'm actually excited about an upcoming new show. Not "well, maybe, we'll see" but legitimately excited. And more Bruce is always good. He does not get nearly enough high profile work.
If this sucks, there will be no words for my disappointment. No, 'disappointment' wouldn't come close to covering it.

Stars did the Spartacus series and those were entertaining and professionally produced enough for me to be pretty confident that they're not going to screw this up. The trailer certainly hits all the right notes.

Breja: Groovy.
Now that`s what I call geil. I`ve always been a fan of the "Tanz der Teufel" (german title, translation:"Dance of the Devils") movies. I always liked the somehow absurd humor in them. Those movie are some kind of early fun splatter movies.
HELL YEAH!
Fuck yes! Ash is back! YEAH! :-D

This is gonna be awesome.
avatar
Riotact: Yeah, Bruce used to be in Xena and they are buddies of Sam Raimi.
avatar
Cyraxpt: Uhm, don't recall seeing him there but then again i didn't watch too many episodes of it.
Yep, Bruce was in a bunch of Hercules episodes, too, Lucy was in a few, but less than Bruce. Ted Raimi was in both series as varying characters at times. Ted also has a little cameo role in Army of Darkness that is hilarious. He is also in SeaQuest. Claudia Black was also in a Hercules episode and a Xena episode. Claudia Black is in Farscape. Both SeaQuest and Farscape are by Rockne S. O'Bannon. Ben Bowder and Claudia Black are both in Stargate series. There are more tangental connections around, I'm sure.

I got to meet Bruce Campbell at a comiccon, he actually had a bad vibe around him, but it was still cool.

Yes, it`s astounding how actors appear in different SF/Fantsy serieses (I hope "serieses" is the right word). Either there are onlx a few actors that want to appear in fantastic serieses or there is some kind of "Vetternwirtschaft" (sorry, didn`t know the correct english word).
Groovy indeed.

I think it is more because they are Australian productions and it is a friendly pool of actors who are on the same wavelength as the creators. Farscape looks like it might have been one of the most fun shows to ever be a part of making. I bet they are all pretty damn cool and laid back and that on-set was a frequent riot.
I've had the pleasure of meeting Bruce Campbell and Ted Raimi back at fan expo and again last year, and they were an absolute delight. I always heard Bruce was abrupt and kind of rude, but the first time I met him he was really nice and friendly when I asked him to sign my copy of Army of Darkness (I wanted to bring Evil Dead 2 but sadly forgot my copy at home BOTH times!! >.<!!!). At any rate, last year he mentioned this series and I kind of figured it was something that would take forever (if ever) to see the light of day.

Less than a year later from him talking about it and Starz is putting it out. I was so happy when I saw this trailer the other day (it warms my heart someone posted it here), and I think I hit replay on YouTube a couple of hundred times (yes I'm that excited! :P). For me as well it hits all the right marks, the humour, the gore, even the music were all absolutely perfect. Also, it has that slight tinge of the humour from 'My Name is Bruce!" mixed in there, which is just fucking AWESOME! My excitement is almost palpable over Ash vs. Evil Dead!!! Now, if GOG could see their way to getting the Evil Dead games for sale that would make my year! I'm not so sure about Fistful of Boom Stick (I think that was PS2 exclusive), but I'm pretty sure Hail to the King was and I know Regeneration was.

WOO!!! Excuse me while I go my happy dance...again. (>' ')> <( ' ' )> <(' '<) <( ' ' )> (>' '<)

Ted also has a role in "My name is Bruce" action comedy, which Campbell directed and starred in. The Raimi bros and Bruce go waaaaay back, to their earliest attempts at movie making, like the 1977 "It's Murder!" or Within the Woods a year earlier, which later morphed into the first Evil Dead. There is plenty of projects they worked on together.

And while we're on the subject of Bruce, Raimi brothers and TV- BRING BACK JACK!

I was super happy when I heard about this show. I did not like the new Evil Dead movie at all, for me this is the real deal coming back right now. And I'm a huge fan of Bruce. I mean, he even made something as crazy and silly as Bubba Ho-Tep touching. He is the best kind of actor, plenty of humor and comedy talent, but also the talent to give even the goofiest material gravitas when the situation calls for it.

I remember Regeneration being a lot better than I expected, and it wasn't so long ago when I played it, so it holds up pretty well.

While I didn't mind Evil Dead 2013, I completely understand the issues people would have with it. Yeah, I have hope for this series, which having this much optimism without any cynicism is something I've not had the pleasure of in quite a while. I agree Bruce is fantastic, he made Bubba Ho-Tep such a great movie, on top of the supporting cast.

Regeneration and Boomstick were two games I've played repeatedly because they were so fun. Heck I might even set up my PS2 to replay Boomstick one of these days. As for Regeneration that would be a wonderful treat to fans of Evil Dead on GOG. ^_^

I'd actually forgotten about Seaquest! Must get some of that good stuff, never saw Farscape tbh, must look into that, cheers :)
