I just found out that Amazon sells drm free games, how come I don't notice people mention that? Also I noticed games that no one has like rainbow six vegas,max payne 3 or ghost recon advance warfighter. Is this legit? For some reason they got games like that and more that aren't available anywhere else drm free. Anyone use it before and know how it works,etc?

I'm looking at the Amazon US store, and it does not have Max Payne 3 DRM-free, or available to purchase for download at all. I bought one indie game from Amazon, and I was required to install their downloader to download and to play the game, it would not run without it. If you were able to download Max Payne 3 from them, I strongly suspect it would be like the GamersGate version and would require Rockstar Social Club + Gameshield DRM.

There is no DRM-free Max Payne 3. It will need Rockstar Social Club.

It doesn’t. It’s nearly time impossible to even buy the hints from amazon drm free, you have to find the tiny “continue without amazon prime” link, otherwise they have you, nicely tied up in their subscription service.

While there are a few games without DRM or Steam et al, they need to found, usually by looking carefully at the reviews or "questions" section of the product.

Seven or eight years ago I bought Skyrim, Fallout 3 and New Vegas having never heard of Steam. I soon learned.

GoG only now. If it ain't here I don't get it. Two problems in 200 games, better than the days of going to the shop and hoping it would install and run. Also patched up to date (usually). I very rarely buy until things have settled down.

I have a couple of those on my account. Some of them were even looong time ago possible to add for free (for limited time).

Sega Genesis Classics Series 1-5 (but those are rather not available anymore).

Not sure about those "big titles" though. Sometimes descriptions are not 100% accurate - it can be for example just an "downloader" to steam game (1MB) + steam key. So they can be marked as "downloadable", but in fact they're not. I've got a couple of games with such cases (mostly steam games).
