STILL NOTHING, second worst customer support right after valve.
Have you tried sending a message to Firek or any other of the GOG employees in the board?

Yeah, both Judas and Firek, both were online plenty of times, both on gog galaxy and on the forums, not a single fucking response.

I'm on 2/3th of maximum european dosage of strong anti-depressants and I need neuroleptic sedatives to even sleep and this situation isn't fucking helping me.
Why would anyone hack into a GOG account when you can just download all the games through torrents anyway? With Steam they'd at least have the legit versions of the games - no need to crack them, achievements, the ability to play online, and so on - rather than the exact same copies of the game like with GOG compared to torrents of GOG games. They'd also have the ability to buy more games with your stored credit card details. That's not the case on GOG either. They're getting nothing out of this at all.

I have no freaking idea but its so annoying.
Hope you get the account back! GOG support I question it sometimes, Funny thing is when it was to recover something broken on my account it took them almost 9 days to fix and when it came to canceling my witcher 3 pre order they did it in 3 hours. lol

For anyone about to ask why I canceled it's cause my friend gave me his copy from his gtx 980 <3 Love her to death

Well there's nothing to worry about, anyway. You can download any games through the site and you know that the asshole who did this can't use your credit card for anything. He's basically got nothing out of this and all you've lost is the ability to use a beta game launcher client for a bit. GOG'll sort it out eventually, but I know from my own experience that they're very slow, even getting the problem acknowledged would be nice.

Thanks, I'm happy I got cookies enabled so that I actually can access my games, still thats really stressing for a person with depression, i'm prone to panic.
Finally Firek contacted me, stress is finally leaving my body, yay.

PaterAlf: Couldn't harm to write a message to Firek. He helped another user with a similar problem. Not sure if he reads the messages on weekend though.

ne_zavarj: So is this means the GOG Galaxy client insecure ?
No, the client itself is secure and uses TLS 1.2

OneFiercePuppy: No. You know better. Correlation != causation, and all that.

More precisely, with the (likely large) influx of new users picking up Galaxy and Witcher 3 and the otehr fairly new, AAA games that GOG has very recently released, there's bound to be both more attention, and more accounts made with very poor security. How many new accounts have been made in the last ten weeks with password equal to a simple variant of username, or with the same password on an already-compromised email account that got the notification of the account creation and such?

Sure, Galaxy could be insecure, but I've worked IT and infosec for decades, and I can tell you, humans are the greatest weakness in any computer system. Always.
Right, I have the same opinion.

did you get your account back yet? Mine has still been going on for a week. I specified that mine got hacked but they just restored the hijacker's email. I told them to just restore it to the original email and give me temporary password. I'm really annoyed with how long it takes for a response and if they still haven't fixed it, then you have to wait another 2-3 days for a response.

Support is really slow and communication is really lacking, I just hope it get solved within 2 weeks lol.

Hi!

First off, I'd like to apologise to all who have experienced account hacking on our site over the past couple of days. We're hard at work to make this less of an issue and less likely to happen - but I understand how frustrating it must be to lose access to your games.

Having said that, there's a new measure that will help us pick up on hacked accounts more easily.

If your account e-mail changes, you will get an automated message.

It that looks like this and has the new e-mail address, the old one, the IP currently in use (together with estimated location), and the OS and browser of the current user.

If you get such a message and it wasn't you who changed the email address, contact us.

Use the link at the end of the message ("contact our support team") to let us know it happened. You'll be redirected to our contact form - here's an example of how to fill that in.

We do our best to get back to hacked account emails as soon as possible, and to change the e-mail addresses as quickly as we can and restore the fully functional accounts to their rightful users.

IMPORTANT:

1) When contacting us regarding a hacked account, you must replace the e-mail address with one you have access to - otherwise, our reply will end up at the hacker's e-mail address, which you have no control over or access to.

2) Please do not send multiple requests to support - if you do, your request is pushed to the back of the queue again. If you feel the need to add more details to your support request without getting bumped back, you can do so by replying to the automated support reply you will get with your Ticket ID.

3) As soon as you get access to your account back, please change your password. It may be a simple thing, but please don't forget. It will mean the hacker once more lost access to your account for sure.
