A question:

I got Grim Dawn a while ago.
After loving the base game, I recalculated the price and instead of buying each DLC separately (which is something I hate, DLCs that is, I like complete packages) I bought the Definitive Edition with the story DLCs.

It seems to me this highest discount sale is happening because they're planning to release the new DLC soon.
I suppose the new DLC, when it arrives, will be merged into the Definitive Edition package for future buyers, as they did with the other DLCs, except the cosmetic Loyalist 1-2-3 packs.

What about users that already own the Definitive Edition? Will we automatically get the new DLC added to our Definitive Edition package or ... "oh its a bummer that you got the Definitive Edition back then! You know, we live in the DLC age now, please pay again! :D"?

Their support to the game is amazing and the praise they get is deserved for this, specially because they don't treat us, GOGers, as second class citizens as their game is one of the fastest to update here.

May someone clarify?

The question is if Definitive Edition owners will get anything, or we will have our versions downgraded, as explained, they will probably merge the new DLC with the Definitive Edition for new buyers, I think. Hum... that's sad then. We that bought the "Definitive Edition" bought an "Not so Definitive Edition" then..

I understand what you are saying - it makes sense. They may change the name of the bundle or something - who knows. Or keep this one and add another tier which would be the best solution I suppose. Because you are right - you now own the Definitive Edition and suddenly you are... not gonna own it if they add the DLC to it. The more I think about it the more it makes sense for them to change something about it. We will see when the time comes (this DLC wasn't planned at all from what I know)!

It will most likely be a different entry in the store. Old Definitive Edition is probably going to get delisted and a new one is going appear with all 3 expansions.
