Is it possible that you just dislike jRPGs? I only ask because the game is so loved by so many that it's strange to read something like that.
Wake me up when it comes to GOG.
I remember a friend being obsessed with this game. He got a pirate* copy from a shady store (very common here in Brazil back in the day) and played until almost the end, when the game froze and he couldn't continue. Then he exchanged the copy in the store, but had to replay the entire game and ended up with the same problem. He was so frustrated.

Maybe someday I'll get the steam version. Looks interesting.

most of us were
course i was 11 in 2000

i played and still have the dreamcast and ps2 versions fo grandia 2
and i have the pc version lying around somewhere too

hopefully the controls have been fixed
Grandia 2 was ported to PC a very long time ago (and I think it was drm-free port).

It is sad that 1st Grandia wasn't ported, it had more interesting characters and world and was more challenging (which still made it one of the easiest jRPGs).

To be honest, there is a whole world of cool jRPGs which were never ported to PC, but which are quite a masterpieces. I just hope that Ghostlight and XSeed will keep on bringing more titles to us.

Correct, it used to be playable on Gametap via it's PC port before it got bought by Metaboli and turned to shit.

Edit: I'm afraid i must admit to hijacking the first post in order to have a friend add me, since there is not a search function currently in place.

Apologies

I finished this on the Dreamcast and it was a great and solid JRPG. The Story, music, effects, and the gameplay was amazing. I can even remember the Ryudo's special attack: Tenseiken Slash!! ^_^
This game was so cool :)
Remember filling out a survey involving this game, I did tell them I use GOG as my primary client. Maybe that was enough to get them to release it here................

i used it over and over and over and over and over and over again to get out of tight spots
i recently found a save from 2004
Glad to hear it. I hope Grandia III is next because I liked that one better.
