babark: Would you be able to download it directly? In that case, for the OP of this thread who asked the question, yes, it should be possible.
The Witcher 3 is DRM free on gog (or so someone somewhere else on these forums said), so if you bought the season pass here and the base game there, you should be able to install the DLC somehow and play it.
No idea. By the time the expansions release, it might be too late for a refund. As I said above, the usual restrictions regarding DLCs on GOG (can't buy DLC if you don't have base game here) might have been lifted in order to allow people who pre-ordered the retail version (when it wasn't yet known whether you would get a GOG code) to be able to pre-order the season pass as well. Even if you were able to download the expansion, it might not recognize any non-retail/GOG versions and even if it did, Steam auto-update might even "fix" it, resulting in the removal of the expansion files. The Witcher 3 is DRM free on gog (or so someone somewhere else on these forums said), so if you bought the season pass here and the base game there, you should be able to install the DLC somehow and play it.

PaterAlf: Of course you can. But it doesn't make much sense to me, that's why I asked. You could support GOG the same way by using just one account and buy additional games as gift codes. That would also be much more adjustable in my eyes.
I like to purchase video games multiple times and own them. I haven't purchased video games to give away as gifts yet on gog.com, but I keep thinking if I should.

Give it a year, they'll give you the expansion pass absolutely free when they announce the Enhanced Edition and let you redeem your Steam key here.
