ARK: Survival Evolved. I've seen people with one 980 Ti saying they get 30 fps with maximum graphic settings. Two 1080s should be great for this game.

xckx: I just installed my 2 GTX 1080s in SLI and I have to say they are amazing. I have been playing Hitman and on the 970 I could only put Super Sampling from 1.0 to 1.1. Any higher and fps would drop more than I would like to play at. Now I crank it up to 2.0 (max) and it is smooth as silk. The game looks amazing.

Do you guys know any other games that are graphically demanding that can really put these things to the test?
Neverwinter Nights 2 was rather famous for being taxing :D
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I played GTA V, still can't max out the graphics but can come close. If I put max it says 16800/16320 MB used. I definitely want to try Skyrim modded, I'll set that up and play that on my next days off.
I have two 980TIs, Morrowind modded, Dying Light and Witcher 3 are three that come to mind.

Ignore this. I played GTA V with 1800something of 1024 MB used on a HD 6870. It ran with 40-45 fps (sometimes 20-25 when I was driving into the sunset on some huge crossroads) ;) Settings were mostly low, some chosen things on medium, with 2xAA. The sliders for viewing distance and population/traffic density and variety were on maximum! I didn't understand the drops during sunset, because the game was very stable otherwise.

In other words: 16800/16320 probably just means that there could be a situation where you get 58 fps instead of 60 xP

Smannesman: Just one of those costs more than my whole rig.
Ditto, by about $125.

xckx: ...
Apart what ppl already said, Project CARS, XCOM 2 (in some location with many fire/enemy/bushes it can be supresingly gpu demanding), Far Cry Primal.

How well did Hitman run on a GTX 970 without any supersampling/downsampling?

As for demanding, you could always try Ashes of the Singularity. It's a strategy games so it's bound to put up stress with enough units, it also has DX12 support.
Nice! People who can afford such stuff should be allowed to buy and use it without us poor sods complaining aloud. My current graphics card cost me about as much as The Solus Project game released today... but I can still enjoy a lot of games with it :-)

As I found out today, the new DOOM is struggling to get to 60 FPS (with everything on Ultra and @ 2560x1440) when using two 780 Ti cards in SLI.

This means two things:

1. I might need to buy the 1080 instead of waiting for the 1080 Ti.
2. You might want to check it out for testing.
Ark! Doom would be another.
The Division, Metal Gear Solid 5 - The Phantom Pain, SOMA, maybe Assassin's Creed Syndicate.
