moonshineshadow: *hug* Don't be sad. Just give it some more time and I am sure even more people will enter :-)
Nah, it was nothing :D
It's weird 'cause when I first did a steam giveaway (the games were also top notch, I guess) there was so many people interested... :P
And WoG is an incredible work.

Gede: I'm in!

I game in Linux because I do everything in Linux! Yes, I'm one of those GNU fans...

I also have a preference for free software. I play Battle for Wesnoth, Rogue-likes, Arx Liberatis, Free Transport Tycoon, and so on. However, there are so many excelent games out there that are not free.

Wine, DosBox and ScummVM also lend a hand in finding nice games to play. While one day that may no longer be enugh, it has been many, many years since I last have booted that OS from Microsoft on one of my machines.

Thank you for your generosity. World of Goo on my "watch list". But too expensive for what I can justify spending at the moment.
BTW, I would love to hear about other nice and Free games that run on Linux.
Just pm'ed ya, winner! :)
Congrats!

Congratulations, Gede, and thank you for the giveaway, vicklemos.
Loved all the statements! :)
Thank you all.

And yep, I did a little acting back there :P

Wow, already!? :-O
This was over quick! I'm sure there are more Linux gamers around!
You don't want to wait a bit more?
Well... Thank you so very much, vicklemos! I was showing WoG on Youtube to a friend, just a month ago. Now I can show it to him from my Linux desktop! :-D

Just a few notes to some of my fellow GOG'ers:

HijacK: ... Linux is a pain at the moment. I'm waiting for the system to improve before I possibly make a jump from Windows to Linux.
It will never be as easy as Windows, since there is no billion dollars company behind it. It used to be a lot more complicated. Try to grab a new distro every year. There are some good Linux magazines. You can learn a lot from them (I do, at times).

I never played Super Mario Karts, but Tux Racer is a lot of fun! Nice of you to remind me of it, toxicTom!

True. It can be troublesome when dealing with drivers. Often hardware makers only care to support Windows (and even then, we know how bad drivers can be), and thus getting new devices to work on Linux can mean a lot of experimentation and guesswork. I too suffered a bit with Wifi. :-(

However, do you remember how it was to make games play on old DOS? Changing config.sys, playing with himem.sys? EMS and XMS memory? What about installing a soundcard and having to configure IRQs and DMAs? Oh, those were the days! :-D
We had more patience then, it seems...

Anyway, I invite you all to keep checking out Linux in the future.
Also, extra special thanks to vicklemos for his help in spreading the Linux gospel! Cheers!
It's just because my Debian is better than any windows !

I gotta thank you all, that's it. Congrats, Gede! :)
And we totally gotta focus our attention to Linux in 2015, for sure!

Not in, because I game on Windows :/ Maybe not the best decision in some people's eyes, but it works for me. +1 for the GA, and good luck to the contestants! :)
I'm in

Honest answer: I don't play on Linux, because I don't have Linux/I don't want to install it/I'm addicted to Windows.

If this giveaways is just only for Linux users, then I'm out (automatically)! Thanks. :)
