DoomSooth: The C=64 version has the best music. That's one of the reasons why I want it.

andysheets1975: Defender of the Crown desperately needs some kind of remaster in which all the best features of each version are combined. The most popular version, the Amiga one, is actually unfinished in its gameplay, while the one with the most complete gameplay, the DOS version, looks and sounds like crap.

I don't think anyone has mentioned Aliens vs. Predator 2, another one from Monolith's classic period.
From the GOG page for the game:

A classic gaming gem returns - with glorious Amiga sounds and graphics!
Does that mean the GOG version of the game is actually the Amiga version running on an emulator?

Syphon72: Some games I play that are not currently sold anywhere.

Skyl1ne9: The whole Strike franchise is awesome, even up to Future Cop. I actually didn't know that Nuclear Strike had a PC port though.
I have the PC version, it works surprising well on new hardware with few tweaks. It has native controller support as well.

neumi5694: Desert Strike
Isometric shooter: Fly a Apache, shoot bad guys, resque brave soldiers, 'manage' fuel and ammunition.

Jungle Strike
More of the same with different graphics, the CD version also features FMV cutscenes.
Desert and Jungle would be fanatics on PC, if someone could fix the rotary blade sound. It serious hurts my ears and is so annoying.

Seems to be both, emulated and port.

Yes, there's both versions wrapped in one packaging, with the menu allowing you to select which one to play (the correct answer being the Amiga version). The amiga version is 100% the amiga version with the same little lags of the music when loading an image, and the "sleeping" mouse pointer and all.
Ah, forgot to mention Gruntz, currently also not being sold anywhere. A real oddity in Monolith's lineup of games, I liked it a lot as a kid and still liked it when I replayed it.

DoomSooth: You can try to contact him through the Shores of Hazeron website but don't expect an answer anytime soon. I'm not sure if he ever plans to sell Gravity Well again.
Yes, I mean David Hoeft's Gravity Well. (Or SEi)
I mean, it'd be simpler if he'd just release the source code and told people to go wild with it, buuuuuut I realize just what a complication that can be. (If not the source code, permanent freeware so it doesn't end up like Stars or Moraff's Radiation, impossible to access.)
Dune 1, 2, and 2000. NOLF. Vietcong + expansion. Silent Hill 1, 2, 3, and last but certainly in no way least Freelancer.

ConsulCaesar: Rise of Nations is on Steam.
Sorry, didn't know that.

ConsulCaesar: Rise of Legends, however, is nowhere to be found and I really wish it became available; I only played the demo back then and I would like to revisit it.
Probably because of licensing reason if I understand the last sentence under 'Development' correct:

^ this and someone mentioned The Riddle of Master Lu.

He doesn't seem to be an open source kind of guy. I've heard he said he would only hand it over to either Jesus or Obama. :)
Surprised nobody's mentioned Innocent Until Caught (1993) and its sequel Guilty (1995), as both have an entry on the Community Wishlist:

- Innocent Until Caught
- Guilty
Crimson Skies is an arcadey game set in a 1930's dieselpunk universe where the United States ended up broken apart into a handful of independent nation states. They disagree with each other on so many issues that overland transport is not a viable option for many purposes, and therefore zeppelins become the preferred mode of transport. The helium giants take the role of cargo vessels and attract air pirates and privateers, and are escorted by official and private security alike. The surprisingly lengthy campaign story told though newspaper clippings as well as pre-mission briefings between chivalrous air pirate Nathan Zachary (think Malcom Reynolds from Firefly and you're about there) and his gang, to say nothing of the missions themselves. It's a ton of fun and the fictitious aircraft are outrageous - and then you realize that a few of them are based on real planes.

Another game that I never played myself but recall fondly from my childhood, watching my friends play, is Black & White. I can't think of a single game that follows a similar concept, and the AI of your divine pet deserves all the wonderment that it got back in the day. You don't have to like Peter Molyneux or his hyperbole, but I highly respect him for his sheer ambition, vision, and drive to make those a reality even against the face of seemingly impossible technical limitations.

I remember picking it as a free bonus when I was ordering games from an E-Shop like 9-10 years ago. Had no idea back then that I was getting a soon to be unpurchaseable game. Got lucky :D

AlKim: Crimson Skies (…)
Black & White (…)
Both would be perfect fits for GOG, I hope they manage to secure the distribution rights at some point.
Kingdom O Magic is a wonderful adventure game that's sadly not sold anywhere. It's kind of a parody of Lord Of The Rings, with twists on the mafia, the 3 Gingerbread Men, and loads more. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Also, Future Boy is a little known gem of an adventure. You have to rescue Future Boy from his arch nemises.
