Hey all!

This topic probably comes up a lot, but I haven't seen one in the time I've been around, so instead of digging up some older thread, I thought I'd make a new one. Lots of stuff and games and such being added makes me wonder about any good gog desktop backgrounds I might not know about. I usually peruse the backgrounds and arts stuff whenever I get a new game, and unfortunately, most of the time it just seems to be a recropping of the box-art, but who knows, maybe I missed something.

Currently on linux I have the boy and girl split image thing from Broken Age on Linux, and am using a diluvion desktop image that was part of the freebies of some humble bundle (and it is a gorgeous image, even though I know nothing of the game itself), and I'm not planning on changing it or anything, but I am curious for when I will.

Any of you use gog's freebie desktop images? Got some good suggestions? Aside from being pretty, be nice if it works well with icons on top of them, and if it doesn't have THISISTHEGAMENAME written in one corner in a distracting way (or if it can be removed relatively easily with GIMP or some such program).

Not a GoG one, but the one I use is from the original Dark Souls, with the knight kneeling in a halo of light on a dark back drop. To me it is simply beautiful and really feels nice. Other than that, I've used Advent Children and the like. I have nothing from any games on GoG except a beautiful horizon taken from Two Worlds II, which I captured myself.
the one from fahrenheit/indigo prophecy is pretty bad ass
I actually do use a lot of GOG's wallpapers and have set them to change every 30 minutes.

As for some specific suggestions, some of Shadowgate's wallpapers look pretty cool and don't seem to have any mention of GOG or Shadowgate anywhere.

One of the Tesla Effect Wallpapers is pretty great.
Blargh...so far of the games mentioned, I have none of them on gog (although Two Worlds 2 on steam has resulted in some hilarious screenshots).
Care to share some screenshots of your desktop?

I found some really nice KOTOR erotica art but I seriously doubt GOG would add it as extras, even if the artist gave it the okay. :P

Not that I can even display it. If god forbid a guest were to walk in and see a drawing of Visas spread eagle it would look really bad for us. :P
Mine always seems to return to the Deus Ex logo. Simple, easy to remember and it doesn't clutter up your desktop.
The Grim Fandango backdrop is pretty cool.
Currently I'm using a background from Layers of Fear, even though it has the game name in the lower right corner I don't find it obtrusive.

Not a Hero has some cool desktop images if you're into minimalistic pixel-art stuff.
low rated
I suppose some Fallout wall paper would look nice.
