This is a list of games I have or am looking at picking up that has a massive amount of text input so would be a good help in learning Japanese but could apply to other languages depending on what is included. I choose this for PS5 because more power is required to run them well and it can avoid Steam's DRM with at least a physical disc to moderate things.
Feel free to chime in with more suggestions, especially if they are JRPG's or others with massive text:

1.Metaphor
2.Sandland
3.Tales Of Arise
4.Scarlet Nexus
5.Sword and Fairy(for Chinese text and Mandarin voice down the road)
6.One Piece Odyssey
7.Visions Of Mana
8.Yakuza Gaiden: The Man With No Name(maybe I will wait for GOG)
9.Fallen Judgement
10.Yakuza: Infinite Wealth(not sure, depending on the censorship I heard)

I am exempting "Persona 3 Reload" because it is censored. I exempted obvious games like Octo and others that could easily run on the Switch. Also since I had heard bad reviews on Ragnarok that got exempted.

I don't know, if these are any good (be it as games or as learning aids), but apparently, they are explicitly meant to learn Japanese:
Learn Japanese To Survive!
- Hiragana Battle (2016)
- Katakana War (2017)
- Kanji Combat (2018)

Uhh sorry, I don't understand this. Why would language learning apps or games require more computing power???

I meant for the games I picked many would have heavy text output in Japanese or whatever you pick since most of them are RPG's and NOT on the Switch or GOG. For the Switch they are absent since it likely doesn't have the power to handle or would be so throttled to the extent you wouldn't be able to enjoy them.
Heck for Visions I asked about PS4 version and apparently have heard it's just a mess.

edit: For GOG they are just being stubborn and want them plagued with DRM so Steam. In that case, the closest choice to GOG and DRM free is at least having a disc to load off of.
