StingingVelvet: Usually multiplatform developed games don't bother me much, it's games made for consoles only and then ported to PC later that you really have to look out for.
When talking about games from the 2000s, it might be easier to discuss games that actually are good ports to PC. That decade stands out to me as a dark time for PC gaming, with lazy, horribly optimized games all over the place while everyone kept parroting that "PC gaming is dead!"

MysterD: Now there's a series - and company (Capcom), for that matter - that I wish would come to GOG.
I wish they'd bring the new RE4 HD version (the one on Steam) over to GOG too.
There's obviously no rights issues with Resident Evil, so the only reason 1-3 originals aren't on Steam is probably because of issues with them running well out of the box. Seems like a perfect fit for GOG, where they can rely on CDP to get them running and support them.

Yeah as much as we often bash Steam here for valid reasons, it definitely have PC gaming an injection it needed around that time. We were definitely slowly sliding into irrelevance for a while there, and the PC versions at the time reflected that. I guess I'm more thinking nowadays, multiplatform stuff usually works well enough on PC it doesn't bother me at all. Dark Souls is an exception rather than the norm.

Yeah, I'd love to see the old RE games hit GOG; especially old versions of RE2 and RE3, which are NOT on Steam. Would love for GOG to get these.

And I'd love to see more Capcom stuff on GOG anyways.

As far as i remembeer some CAPCOM stuff is here on GOG but unoptimized like Street Fighter Alpha 2. Havent tested it yet. The problem with many of those oldschool games ported too late is that even a free emulator and rom of said game is more often than not better adjustable, configurable and playable as "officially" released stuff.
