I can't load the site in safari? Is this a a known issue?

You need to give more information I think.

It could be Chrome or Firefox as well. When it happens it's just random and odd and will usually fix itself after some time from my experience.

Ok will give it some time.
In firefox it loads just fine for me but in safari I get an errror that the webpage is not responding.

Same here. Safari can't load main page however subpages works fine.

and one issue with displaying content - text is not visible on the whole page till I click on x sign in the address bar.

Yahoo mail used to tell me that the browser I use is outdated and it can't display correctly. That's when I stopped using Safari and switched to Firefox. Maybe you should do the same.
