Hey guys

I was wondering if anyone else has been having the same issue. I have requested a refund 6 days ago and simply cannot get a response. I have sent a few other emails trying to get an answer but nothing - I normally get a support response in hours, never seen anything like this on any other platform.

Any help would be greatlyu appreciated

thanks
Did you get an first automated response to your refund request? That should've included instructions / a request to respond to it. Without a response from you on that, things won't be processed any further.

If you've responded to that automated email: gog support is currently swamped, and six days doesn't seem quite long enough to worry yet - I'd expect you to get a response within the next few days. (You won't have to worry about falling out of the 30 day window for the refund request, as they base that on the date of your first support request.)

All of this response is based on knowledge from other similar threads in the forum lately, not on personal experience, so although I don't think I am, I might be wrong about specifics; if so, my apologies for the noise.

Yeah I waited 3 days before chacing up on the request, and replied to the automated email straight away. I have changed from steam to gog as my main storefront and I have to say if I have to wait 6 days before getting a response that might actually make me change my mind - you get a respone on any other storefront within hours, maybe one day. I never had to wait 6 days for a support reply. I get the benefit of using gog and I am enjoying it quite a lot, but I'm not swimming in cash so if I want to buy another game (like I do) waiting a week or more for a refund is a lot.

Anyway I'll keep waiting

Yeah, six days is a lot, and I don't think anyone is happy about it, gog themselves least of all. Usual support times are more like 48 hours, though with a lot of variance based on the complexity of the support request.

I hope matters will be resolved without having to wait for too much longer, and that you'll stick around on gog! :)

Thanks man, appreciate it. I'll keep waiting and update when I get an answer, maybe it will help other people out.

Have a good one

If GOG is unhappy about the response time, GOG can do something about it.

There seems a lot of people tries to find help here (me included) about this delays but not a single warning message to clients anywhere.... that's curious.

I have had 2 experiences with that

1. I tried to refund Pharaoh + Kleopatra. It was an impulse buy. Didn't receive a response, but i decided to bite my tongue as the game has good reviews.
2. Torment: Tides of Numenera. Another impulse buy. Took me about 25 days but i did manage to cancel the transaction in the end.

I believe that they do have a warning like that 'due to the pandemic we are being overwhelmed so please be patient'. Doesn't excuse them, but still.

I refunded BG3, sent request, got an email saying they had received it.
Next morning got an email asking how I wanted the refund, cash or credit. I chose cash.
Couple of hours later I got the refund.
Great service imo.

What's up, chief?

Why did you refund it?

I can understand a bit of delay beacause the pandemic but at the same time it's not an excuse for what is happening here (and what is about to happen if the company insist in not solving the problem).

My PC couldn't run it smoothly enough to be playable.
