*Mods, feel free to close this. See bottom of post for why*
I noticed that just recently, if I load up GoG Galaxy I'll get a "GoG Galaxy - Update problem" error with the old "There was a problem with updating the application" message. This does NOT occur the first time I load up GoG galaxy during a computer boot, and I've noticed that in C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\autoupdate there's a "changelogs" folder and if I click on it I get an "Access is Denied" error.
Please assist. The last time I had this issue was due to me messing with ProgramData in a vain attempt to fix a somewhat similar problem (I did NOT mess with ProgramData this time) and I had to reinstall the OS to fix it. If it helps I'm running the latest stable build which is 1.2.26.8 and I'm running Windows 10 Build 1709.
I also tried fully uninstalling GoG Galaxy (including deleting its ProgramData/AllUsers folder and all GoG-related folders in %localappdata& and cleaning my registry) but I'm still getting this issue. Also upgraded to the beta build, didn't work. And on a related note, would trying to uninstall a GoG-downloaded game from a previous OS install (the game's on a different drive from the OS) have caused this as well?
Update: Update: Turns out it was my AV software (Webroot) that was the cause of this. (thank you IoBit Unlocker for showing what's blocking any given file/folder) As such, problem solved. If anyone else is having/does have a similar issue, maybe start there. Mods, feel free to close this.
