TomNuke: I could be wrong, but I don't think he's doing that for most posts, or any at all for that matter. There's definitely people abusing the system, as we can all see, but I highly doubt he's one of them.
now his posts are high rated... very sus , i would temp ban and see if forum improves

Breja: Some people seem weirdly gleeful in their expectations of GOG's demise.
Agree.

Well, manipulating or abusing the rating system is a violation of the forum rules and people who do it should be banned in my opinion, but I'm not going to point fingers at anyone on something like this. I have no idea here, but I'd be pretty surprised if Breja was doing something like that. At least that is the feeling I get from seeing his posts.

But, everyone here knows the rating system on the forums is a complete joke that's broken, abused, and manipulated by people. You in particular, Orkhepaj, are on the receiving end of that abuse. I constantly see posts from people that are low rated and I ask myself why in the world was that downvoted?

It's really kind of an indictment on the entire GOG community (which is unfair because it's like a small group of bad apples who're doing it) when you see that kind of thing. The voting system really should have been disabled or removed long ago and in my opinion it actually drives people away from GOG because of how toxic an unwelcoming the community here appears to be.

Having a difference of opinion or an disliking someone sharing an unpopular opinion is not reason to downvote a post. Downvoting should be reserved for problematic posts, necroing of threads, spam, and other similar things. All that it does when the community behaves this way is drive others away from GOG or makes them afraid to share anything on the forum. Neither of which are good for GOG or the stores future going forward.

I'd guess (or at least I'd hope) that GOG does care about that and probably wishes they could change it, but you know the whole "maintenance mode" thing I talked about earlier.
