Hi,
I have a problem with loading GOG site (Chrome) . Forum, support works fine but account page is loaded wrong ( just simple text with some pictures)

Yesterday it did the same thing, but then it magically started working, but i still can not download patch to witcher 3 (403- forbidden)

So i downloaded GOG galaxy and i can not instal or download the game even with this program. Galaxy says that it is a server problem.

Is something wrong with GOG servers or it is my connection problem ? (downloading from other servers works fine.)

Thanks for answer

PS.1 - Tried Clean Firefox install instead of chrome, with no effect, still loaded wrong. But other sites ( microsoft, steam etc are loaded corretly..) Problem is only with GOG welcome and account pages.

That looks like a time-out issue.

Open a command prompt, and run the two commands:

ping www.gog.com
tracert www.gog.com

The first one will show you the connection time and delay:

2.23.35.241: Bytes=32 time=16ms TTL=60

second (do not post)

will show you which way your packets go, it shall also tell you

8 16 ms 16 ms 16 ms 2.23.35.241

If you do see some * * * * fields that is your problem

EDIT: It might be that GOG is being routed in a different way, so do the above for working sites and look at the differences.

I experienced almost the same thing yesterday (except that I had to refresh GOG several times in order to escape from the GOGBear). It seems that their server is slow at establishing connections which is probably caused by a surge in traffic related to the sale (and maybe also people downloading backup copies of their game because of this). The 403 forbidden thing seems like a different issue (unless you have bought the game during the sale), you should probably write to support about it.

Sorry to cut it short, IF it would be a general problem everyone would have seen it, including myself, as this is not the case, it is rather specific.

The image which ladnov uploaded shows it already clearly, timing issue. And even if you were hit as well, that could only mean that your ISP has a bandwidth cap on your end to reach Cyprus.
To shortly explain by deductive logic, if there would be a bottleneck at:
GOG: Everyone would feel it
GOG (Tier 3): Everyone would feel it

You: Only you
Your ISP: Everyone off the same ISP
Your ISPs Internet provider (Tier 3 provider): Everyone using this Tier 3 provider

For easier understanding look at this image:
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/9f/Internet_Connectivity_Access_layer.svg/1920px-Internet_Connectivity_Access_layer.svg.png

PLUS: Your ISP might have only a certain bandwidth (cap) with their Tier 3, hence you might experience slower connections to destinations like GOG.

EDIT: Yes no access to The Witcher 3 is because of sales, but just wait like 24 hours. The servers are fairly busy and it might take a wee bit (so long you did receive the order confirmation via email)
