How are Popular games determined on the GOG front page? Collective hours played in a week for a game for all GOG users? Sales for the week?

I've been playing mostly stardew valley on GOG and noticed its in the third spot. Curious if the GOG community as a whole is also playing a lot of stardew valley.

Previous observations seem to support that the front page popular are ranked by revenue for GOG, while best sellers in the catalog are by units sold.

We ask him.

That doesn't say much for Obi-Wan either to beg the console for permission to keep training him. :P

Well, he was obliged to do it because he promised his dying master. He was pretty much coerced into it.

Definitely NOT collective hours played, since that would require a tracking mechanism. As Galaxy may or may not track your game time, and as not all customers use Galaxy, this wouldn't be a particularly accurate metric.

That said, accuracy has absolutely nothing to do with retail hype.

I'd suspect the popular games on the front page are probably the best-selling games recently, whereas the "by beststelling" order shows the all-time bestsellers.
