There are many many games, old and new in the genre and there is a severe lack of them here.
Yes there are some superb ones, but so very few!
I get it there might be issues with licensing, especially those who use real life cars.

And about new, as it is now if one wants to buy a new or relatively new/modern racing/driving game for the PC, has to get it for Steam.
Please try harder.
I rather give money to you than Steam, for the obvious reasons.

(DRM-free and not the use of GALAXY client)
I don't get it. We already have Carmageddon. What would be the point ?
Carmageddon is actually one of the very few driving games which don't use third party assets.

Most games in the genre use car models, car brands, racing drivers' names, racing series' names, real-life locations, or something else which needs to be licensed.

There are some indie driving games of course, but those probably wouldn't pass GOG's curation.

So overall, I think those games which are good enough for GOG, and don't require any licensing, and which publishers allow to be sold DRM-free are already in the catalog.

You mean I can't go out and buy a real Red Eagle!?

Licencing is a suka, when it comes to most driving games.
That Race Driver Grid looked nice on screenshots. But it also had to be removed with the expiring license. I guess its the major issue here (next to DRM free).
Project Cars or Asetto Corsa would be nice.
It's not only the vehicle brands. Many of those games also use licensed music...

But yes, I also would like to see more racing games here.
Disney is already here so Split/Second Velocity would be nice to see.

Also Ridge Racer Unbounded.

It would be nice to have at least some more of the 90s games. There were so many above average racing games then.

Well, let's say no Codemasters games, SEGA Rally, Need for Speed, MicroMachines, WRC, Wipeout, Test Drive and such here, because of different licenses etc.

But what about the following games?

Split/Second: Velocity
Ridge Racer Unbound
Big Red Racing (DOS)
B. C. Racers (DOS)
Xpand Rally series
Horizon Chase Turbo
Burnout Paradise (yes, this has licensed music, so, maybe not and also EA has it's own platform -> Origin)
Super Toy Cars series
Hi-Octane (Bullfrog/EA game)
Insane 2
Quarantine series
GT Racing 97
Wreckfest
BeamNG.Drive
Dangerous Driving
GRIP: Combat Racing
Highway Hunter (DOS)
Fatal Racing (DOS)
Screamer Rally (does this have licensed cars?)
etc.

I know, that many of these games for whatever reason won't ever come here, but... hope dies last.
