IronArcturus: But you'd also mentioned the game was "wonky." Were the physics really bad or were the controls too loose?
avatar
Sachys: both of them were arseholes!
That's too bad. Well, there's always Doom 3! :P
avatar
GR00T: Not a FPS fan myself, but I'm surprosed this one isn't here yet as well.
avatar
Sachys: I thought you were a fan of Funky Primate Sausage?!

o___________O

WHAT DID I DO?!?!?!?!??!?
I never know these sausages are made of your flesh, no wonder you look thinner these days.

IronArcturus: Really? It's that bad? I thought the gameplay was supposed to be similar to the old Doom/Quake FPS games.
It's worst crime is feeling too simplistic and vanilla, but it's really not that bad, the controls and physics feel just fine. I think it's worth a playthrough if only for the still-astoundingly pretty cyberpunk visuals.

I've tried to get ahold of FWH about this game but they never answered my email, despite their website stating they'd answer any questions.

The worst part of playing Shadow Warrior was the reused explosion sounds from Hard Reset. :l
Hard Reset was pretty fun though.

Gengar78: What is that suprosed to mean?! Are you suprosing that you are suprosed by this suprosing event?
Welease Woderick!
Yeah I'd definitely buy Hard Reset (Extended Edition?) if it came to GOG.

too, especially if it includes [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QuE36_hZuE]Duty Calls as an extra.

If what you say is true I'm honestly impressed you can tell two explosions sounds apart. I mean I probably could, if I heard one right after the other, but I don't think I'd have spotted that one game reuses the sounds of another one.

Had Hard Reset back when I tolerated Steam, but it had graphical issues to the point I gave up on it. Is it known to have troubles with AMD cards or something?

Well I'm running it on a Radeon R9 290X and the game is visually faultless. The only issue I know of is forced anti-aliasing in the Catalyst Control Center will cause the graphics to corrupt. Change this and it should work just fine.

I ran it on an AMD 5450 2GBs and Intel Pentium G2020 2.9GHZ dual core. Maybe if I throw it on my Nvidia lappy it would work fine... I dunno.

Did you have anti-aliasing enabled in your driver?

I disable anti-aliasing globally and enable it on a per-game basis. So at the time I still had it, no.

Damn, well I know it works just fine on a modern Radeon card under Win 7 at least.

tfishell: GOG needs a lot of things.
Indeed.

Interesting, you mentioned the Windows version. Maybe I need to check if the game somehow breaks on Windows 8, because that's when I last tried it. I'm currently on Windows 10 though.
