If he helps kill flubbucket, that hurts him Day 5. So I thought that self-hammering gave him the best chances going into Day 5. I expected him to NK flubbucket, though, and hope that there was enough WIFOM he wouldn't die. We didn't have very good chances either way, though.

@Lifthrasil - thanks for the game! It was a fun first game back.
You did almost win. If the NK was Flub both Muddy and Christi read Bler as Town. I'm pretty sure Flub can't vengefully lynch after a NK too right? Bler was saying he couldn't win in night chat but he actually could have with the right NK. Create a case against Muddy that Cristi would go with.

The problem with that though is hammering yourself meant Bler couldn't get town points by hammering you.

The turning point in the game was Ixam's claim and Mafia losing 2 players in 2 rounds. If you could have built a case for a misslynch in either day you would have been in the driving seat. Also if Ixam was going to claim someone was Scum, it should have been actual Scum imo That way when either of you flip Scum, the other gains shedloads of town points and is almost Town confirmed. When you said 'we could double lynch Muddy and Ixam', retrospectively when you flipped Mafia, it meant Muddy almost certainly couldn't be Mafia as no Mafia player wants to risk losing 2 players in a day.

Yes, that's right. Being lynched was the necessary for flubb to use his power. Had he been nightkilled, he would just have been dead. So scum was just one mislynch away from a win.

SirPrimalform: I can't remember who or when, but someone suggested a double lynch mechanic that had you vote for a separate double lynch wagon, i.e. vote SPF+HSL. This wouldn't count as a vote on either individual wagon, thus it would prevent last second manipulation. Just as no lynch can have strategic uses, there are situations where a double lynch could be helpful.
But yes, as a way of resolving two separate wagons I agree that a double lynch is dangerous and easy to manipulate.
Interesting, still a bit of room for manipulation, but with higher chances of getting people into trouble.


And talking about double lynches - @Lifthrasil, if SirPrimalform had also gotten lynched on the Day Ixamyakxim was lynched, would he have still won?

Yes. His win-con was to get Ixam lynched. It didn't matter what happened to him as long as he got his vengeance for his little sister.
