It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

With the new design, there has been lots of new bugs in the site added to the old bugs. A few have been fixed, some are results of a questionable design (to say the least), some have workarounds.

What is certain is that reports, answers and suggestions are all over the place and I thought that perhaps all that info could be put together into a place that could be more easily updated.

GOG Known Issues

Those who want something added and have no wiki account feel free to post here and I'll try to update the page, those who have access, I guess you know what to do.
Far as i can tell, the account tab at the top will show you an indicator number for notifications, but not where those notifications go like they used to. So i'll get '2' and not know if it's game updates or replies or private messages or what...
The search box is broken on the support and account pages as well.

It works from the homepage, and some other pages but not the forums.

I think the website can be divided into two parts:

1. The new parts. This has been redone with all the functionality and theme, etc.
2. The old parts: This has kept the legacy code but has been tweaked to look more like the new stuff. However, functionality is lacking.

Here's my list of old and new. Tell me if I've missed anything out:

New Pages
=========

Home page
/games/*
/game/*
/movies/*
/movie/*
/video/*
/redeem
/checkout/*

Old Pages:
========

/mix/*
/support/*
/work/*
/indie
/account/*
/forum/*
/galaxy
/404

I don't think I got those even before the re-design until I installed Barefoot Essentials. Somewhere I read that those did not worked fine with Firefox (which is what I use) and ChrisD says it work with certain pages and not others.

:/

I'd just like to be a bit more precise when adding that.

Could you PM me and reply to this so I could do some tests?
Thanks

Sure thing. And yes i'm using Firefox, although glancing through the css and code of the pages is a nightmare...

Well, a quick test with Firefox and Chrome says the the problem lies in the combination of Firefox and the forum pages. :/
Chome shows the detailed notifications in all pages and in Firefox I get the detailed notifications in the "new" pages.
Yeah I'm using FIrefox 31. The images I've attached show what it looks like for me on the homepage and in the forums: It seems to work fine in Chrome 36.

I get a similar problem... It extends to the support pages, and account as well. Movies and games seem to work fine.
E-mail address changing is disabled on https://www.gog.com/account/settings

Two more common requests would be a search interface that behaves consistently (on some pages the navbar's Search gives a dropdown, on others it links to a catalogue page) and a more easily discovered position for the currency selector.

I've lost the post with an image demonstrating it [edit--here it is], but reportedly, if you redeem a giftcode that isn't for a specific game, you have to go through page after page of game listings to find the one you'd like.

Making new posts in the forum now sends you to the page footer, not to your new post.

Yeah, see my list of "old" and "new" pages above. You can spot "old" pages by the fact they have a link to "legacy.css" in the page header (I ran a python script to find them). I think this css makes old pages look like new but nothing is done to make them behave like the new pages.

That certainly would make sense...
Thanks.

Added. I knew I was forgetting an important one

The first one was already there as a bug. Search should be as easy as it was before.
Added the second as a minor issue. We'll see if what GOG says.

I had not heard of that one. Will look for it.

Added.
Some people (me included) are having trouble with the checkout page. When I sent my order the spinner just kept spinning and nothing else ever happened. The games had appeared in my account but there was no confirmation page and no email.

Manually refreshing the checkout page takes you to the "order completed" page but I've still not got the email. This only seems to affect some people and it's not yet clear why (could be browser related).

Here's a workaround until GOG fixes the HTML. Use Stylish and apply to the desired legacy pages. Only tested for forum replies by the way.
