What gives, you know, besides Konami being Konami ?!

So... besides the one thing that's actually a relevant factor?
It's still better than Homecoming, Origins, and Downpoar. Silent Hill 1 never came out on PC, while Silent Hill 2 and 3 have all sorsts of rights problems with the voice actors, which is baffling, but it is what it is.

All the more reason to add them to the GOG Preservation Program.
Since it's the only one here... that means it's also the most liked ;)
Silent Hill 4, is not a Silent Hill game at all. Seriously. It has nothing to do with the series, because it was a totally different project. Which is why it is the only one on gog. The publisher considers it to be worthless. As it is.
Probably because of lost source code.

You don't need the source code to put out a game digitally.

Silent Hill 4 was always supposed to be part of the franchise despite the BS fake rumor that it wasn't. I get it, you hate it because it's not the same old tired formula, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't meant to be a Silent Hill.

It always was supposed to be SH game. Read the interviews. I hate that random misunderstood article from eurogamer made that rumor popular.

And disregarding how the project started: SH4 features a character mentioned by a newspaper that can be found in SH2, some locations are close to town, and gross nurses. The connection is weak, but there it is.

Meanwhile in reality, if you play the game. It has nothing to do with any aspects if the first three. Because they recycled a lesser quality game and added a franchise moniker to trick people into buying a project they didnt care about. Which is also why it is here. Think as you please. The publishers greed is more plausible, than their blowing smoke up backsides.

edit: retyped a few words in haste.
