We are excited to announce that today, on August 24th – the Independence Day of Ukraine – we are implementing Ukrainian localization into our GOG GALAXY client, available for all of you who want the client to be in the Ukrainian language.

To offer this personalized GOG GALAXY experience to our Ukrainian community is something that gives us an immense amount of joy. We purposefully took the effort to release it on a day as significant as the celebration of Ukraine's independence in order to show our support for all our Ukrainian players.

Bringing Ukrainian language to GOG GALAXY client is the first step to make the GOG Platform fully localized in the future.

Now, there's only one thing left to do: check out all the amazing bargains from our ongoing Made in Ukraine sale and enjoy games created by our talented friends from Ukraine.
TY guys!

Great news. Now people from Ukraine can finally as well enjoy this unfinished and buggy client which is still unable to tag or hide games per platform and has several broken community integrations for other stores because GOG could not bother at all to do them by themselves in their native language.

TheCleaner517: couldn't you just release games instead of being politically biased? adding another language is great and all but cmon, this isn't a "look at me" contest.
They are literally doing both. Right now, today, on the web page.

You just have an issue with the Ukraininans and are afraid to be honest about it.

Next time just say: "I don't like it when the Ukranians get things because.......

That way you are at least a little honest when being a bigot as opposed to trying to imply that a software retail company can't release games and provide language support at the same time.

Yes, I am a bigot towards Ukrainians.... because a game store added your language. Let's not forget that this same game store has stopped the sale of games being sold here from Russia, isolating an entire people because of their government. That's it. You got me.

To be honest I could care less. But why didn't they make a banner when they added any other language? Why didn't they make a show about it? Or is it because Ukraine good, Russia bad situation that's going on?

Get your head out of the ground. Trying to stop the sale of Russian dev made games here doesn't actually hurt Russia...just the devs and their families that live there.

This banner about adding the Ukrainian language, while great they are adding the language, is ridiculous because they are trying to score browning points with the E.U.

This is a game store....sell games and stop trying to be self righteous about one group of people while stigmatizing an entirely different group because of a few bad apples.

the hypocrisy is overwhelming.

Or why not add it in the first place? They had Russian. Why didn't they add Ukrainian as well before the whole war? Ask yourself that. Was it because they said well, people speak Russian there so just leave it alone. Or is it because now that there is a war they are going, well, let's see about adding the language specifically to get some browning points....

They don't care my dude. They want the business now that they see an opportuniy. Otherwise they would have done it long ago.

Truth hurts, don't care who I make mad about it.
