This happens to me a lot. I can't believe it hasn't been fixed yet. This is f-ing rediculous! GOG, please fix this issue. I know it can be fixed because it never happens with Steam.
+1. I mean, i can fix it in closing galaxy completly and then starting galaxy anew and start the game anew.
But the next game i try to start is again stuck at 0% syncing.
Really annoying.
I mean it happened alot before that it took a long while till it synced but right now, even after 15 MINUTES nothing happened.
So closing galaxy completly and starting it and the game anew is the only solution for it.
Really hate this bug.
I don't care if this is a necro thread. I'm starting to think GOG sucks because they obviously couln't care less and ahven't fixed it. Present even in GOG Galaxy 2.0 which I just reinstalled again and it's still been happening. Driving me nuts. Guess i'm going back to Steam to buy all my stuff now. Thought they'd get their act together but clearly not.

***edit because I forgot to add- I don't even think GOG reads this stuff- do they bother responding to posts?***

Soulblade777: Hello everyone,

using GoG Galaxy there has always been an issue I couldn't solve.
When trying to start a game sometimes the cloud sync feature gets stuck at 0% and there is no way of aborting it. Trying to start or sync other games will result in the same behaviour.
Ending the GoG Galaxy task in the task manager and restarting the program tends to work for a while until it randomly stops working again (at times after a play session).

I've done the following things to troubleshoot the problem:

- Reinstall GoG Galaxy on system partition C:// instead of D:// which is meant for games.
- Allow every ingoing and outgoing traffic as well as setting an exception for the program in Norton.
- Using Beta Versions of the program

Also, and this has been mentioned on the forums before, because the progress bar is stuck, it results in constant high GPU usage (see screenshot).

Does anybody have this exact issue as well and found a solution?
I had the same issue. Turned out GOG Galaxy was running twice. I closed it, then went into task manager and ended GoG Galaxy 32.exe and then started the game and it loaded and ran fine.
Moral of the story: Try not to rely on technology as it can be (and frequently is) unreliable. Get into the practice of backing up your saves manually, and locally...

For anyone else running into issues like this and trying to Google it, I let mine sit at 0% for like 2 hours and then it gave me the classic "User data files on this computer exceed GOG Galaxy Cloud storage quota for this game. Launch the game and remove some older saves data." But it turned out I had 5 and a half gigs of user data in my Documents > My Games folder for this game.

I checked the folder and somehow I had some actual game data files (maps, triggers, scripts and such) in my saves folder (Underrail, for those curious which game). I deleted that file and it got my Underrail folder down to a much more reasonable 700 kB, upon which all the issues disappeared.
