TheWizzardofozzy: Sometimes when I exit a game GOG Galaxy interface gets messed up. The album art is zoomed way in and when I scroll it's not updating the interface properly and the album art looks like its tearing.
I tried looking around for a solution but not much luck. someone, mentioned that windows scaling sucks and I might agree with that but it doesn't help my issue. I've also tried all the different dpi scaling options for the application, both for all users and current user but they keep resetting. I do have dsr enabled in the Nvidia control panel and it might cause occasional issues with other applications but it happens all the time with GOG Galaxy.
I'm able to reproduce the issue consistently with the GOG version Metro Last Light and even trying to set the in game and desktop resolution to the monitors native resolution it still does it.
Any ideas for a fix?
EDIT: I have a couple screenshots but I'm not able to upload them for some reason.
Swissy88: It's probably most of a Metro thing than a galaxy thing no? I don't know what you're describing but just sounds like galaxy zooms in, or you're having issues with different resolutions. All of the metro series has really harsh scaling issues, doesn't tab well either.
So yea, don't know what you're describing. If the monitor was having issues going back to native resolution (why are you playing a resolution different than native?) then I'm not sure why you're singling out galaxy. If galaxy itself is zooming in on the icons then I don't know what that has to do with the game. The reason I don't play any of the metro games is because it's such a PITA to kill, tab, use multimonitor, can't skip intro scenes, and pretty sure it disables windows key too. Just obnoxious.
I'm not necessarily singling out galaxy I'm looking for input I guess, if the thread dies or I find that nobody else seems to have the issue, that would indicate to me that it might be something unique to my configuration. I'm thinking it may be related to Galaxy because it's the only app that does this and I mention Metro because I can reproduce the issue with Metro game if I tab out or exit the game, it happens every time. I actually haven't played the game at all and wasn't aware of the issues. It does it with the desktop and game at native resolution with dsr disabled. I typically run games at 1440 on 1080p monitor because that's what I have right now and it has less aliasing and fewer settings to mess with.
The interface will get all bunched up, the minimize/full screen buttons don't work and when I try to scroll the page, it tears, like with screen tearing in a game, except vertically and one side is frozen and doesn't scroll at all. Sometimes I can recover by resizing, or win+up to full screen. Sometimes I can't even resize the window. Other times I've had to close galaxy completely and restart it. It does it with Galaxy in full screen too.
Literally everything else in windows works just fine. I often have a browser window, steam and en explorer window open when this occurs, and I don't have any problems with them.
It's definitely done it with other games though it doesn't happen every time and I wasn't bothered enough by it enough until now so I haven't really done much troubleshooting to try to narrow down the issue, until now. With what your saying it could at least in part be the game. My thought when it first occurred was that it was something to do with differing game and desktop resolution or some sort of scaling, but it's not unique to Metro.
I don't have anything unusual running in windows, very few things actually and the only thing I can think of right now that I haven't done is ddu reinstalling gpu drivers.
It's pretty annoying.
