breaker182: Oh! I see this regional pricing thing now. But, this regional pricing is a little tricky and make no sense. If i buy Starbound from the GOG Galaxy, I will pay $15.39 and get a $0.40 off in a future purchase, and if i buy it from the Web store, I will pay $7.99. I will try to contact support or just buy it from the web store.
It does make sense, it's just in your case it's buggy.
There's a global price. If your region happens to pay more, you get store credit to use on future purchases. (Store credit is only good for a year since your last purchase, but it's generally a good idea to expend it if you're buying something and have store credit, because why not?) If your region happens to pay less, you just pay less. Brazil usually gets a discount.
It's not that you have a
choice of whether to buy at a higher price price with a piddly amount of store credit or at your regional, comparatively smaller price. It's that in this case the website works okay and the client is buggy and
detects your region incorrectly. In fact, if you try to check out via the client, you'll probably see something like "
I assert that I agree with the terms and conditions and I am currently located in the International Space Station" or something similarly untrue. Hence,
legally, you actually can't opt to make a purchase through the buggy client and assert a false statement just because that's what the buggy client tells you to do.
