Dear Gog,

I do not know where can I give feedback so I'm writing on the forum.

The Galaxy client is developing quite nicely, but here are few features which I'd like to see/might be beneficial to the community:
1. Game screenshots when viewing the promo/deal list - When browsing through a web browser I usually open several tabs with games that I would like to read about, this isn't possible through galaxy client and I understand that you are not planning on creating the next firefox (or are you ;)? ), what you could do is add a miniature window, just like you have added to the game installation screen, which would feature screenshots from the game perhaps with a short blurb about it. This would allow me to minimise the amount of clicking in and clicking back when I want to read about a game from the list which I do not remember by its title alone.
Essentially it's adding screenshots and a short description, same as they are on the game installation screen, above user reviews. It could be that hovering the mouse over a title would bring up the reviews and short bio and it would stay there until I move my mouse over another title - this would let me hover the mouse and change screenshots on the screenshot carousel.

1.5 Screenshots/trailers on mouseover of the promoted titles - you have added promoted titles to the dropdown of store tab, but it only displays the splash image, why not use the possibility to show more about the game without the need to click further? Every user knows that clicking on something will lead to having to click back and find where you left off - I don't like that and I suppose others also do not enjoy it a lot.

2. Gog Connect integration with the Galaxy client - please add Gog Connect to the store or account drop down menus, nobody wants to miss gog connect possibilities, so it could also display a red notification icon by the drop down menu. It's a chore to check up connect through browser and I do not like searching the newsfeed for the latest gog connect offers.

3. The ability to wishlist items on the promo/deal list - perhaps holding the title would wishlist it? Or add a small on/off heart by the title?

4. Let me categorise games into my own lists - I would like to have the ability to put games onto my own lists like "play first" "adventure games".

5. Make those lists availiable in 3 places: 1. The installed games list in the left column. 2. My "shelves" in the library. 3. The library tab at the top.

6. Wishlisted games category in the Store drop down. - I've found that option under my account drop down... is it really the place to put the wishlisted games? I don't know.

7. Let me know what are the localization options are - you are showing supported languages, but I would like to know whether the game has subtitles, voice over etc. I've downloaded Grey Matter in two languages to help me study other languages... only to find out that it doesn't really matter. This could save you some bandwith and help the users to save theirs.

8. Add the option to DL all the game extras at once so that I don't have to click each one of the goodies.

9. Add a switchable option whether I want to download and install games or whether I just want to download a backup copy so that I do not need to go into the backup/goodies menu for each game. This could be hidden in settings, but would certainly be helpful.

10. I sure would be glad If I could install whole series at once... like I used to. (Space Quest, Avernum, Geneforge, Heroes Chronicles, Might and Magic, King's Quest, QFG, Gobliiins, Ultima etc.).

11. WOW, as I wrote this I have found that you have already implemented a feature like that... chapeau-bas!
Read on for a smile:
A library-like overview of installed games instead of a list - this is a far far away feature that isn't needed, but it could be fun to be able to view game-cards or game "boxes" of the installed games. I treat some of these old goodies like books - an adventure just waiting to be experienced. The current list of installed titles doesn't give that feeling. However, the "my library" tab is much closer - you look at the collection and think "oh, I want to play as a pirate today... or better yet, I want to be a space captain!" etc. So perhaps a picture of the game's store splash screen or an image of the game box would be nicer.
As it turns out, this is the "expanded list" feature, love it!
Not bad. A lot of this will likely happen in time. Still a lot quality of life improvments needed before we get to this kind of stuff.

Kudmar: Dear Gog,

Best place to request features that GOG looks at and uses to gauge interest as part of the deciding factor for feature development, is the official Galaxy wishlist:

This feature already exists for over 2 years, it's called game tags, which you can think of similarly to Steam's "categories". You can create arbitrary tags, and a game can be assigned one or more tags, and you can filter by them although the user interface for all of this is somewhat caveman.

Other than that, you've got a number of good ideas on your list which may or may not already be on the wishlist. You might want to search the wishlist and vote for them or add them if they're not already there, and post the URLs for any you add so others can also vote on them.

Thanks, Skeletonbow!

Though, the fact that I didn't know that such a feature feature exists tells us something about it ;)

Which brings up another idea - a tutorial which would help with the onboarding and learning about galaxy client's features. It could be a step-by-step initial customization of your client.

Another thing is - I want to have separate lists instead of having to filter by tags - which is great, but works a little bit differently.. Once you have lists (drag and drop lists especially) you see the whole picture and can modify that picture, when you have tags and do filtering by tags you see just the details.
I just want ETA for downloads and a page only for downloads, it's hard to track from tiny area.
