I cannot sync them for some reason, and I'm trying to buy the DLC but it won't let me because it thinks I do not own the game.

You could start by mentioning which game? Are you trying to buy via galaxy or the website? Did you get a “key” from elsewhere, these often get revoked as they are from fraud sites.

That's exactly why I don't like GOG selling Epic Games versions through Galaxy. It just ends up confusing people when they then try and buy the DLC on the store they don't own the game on simply because they can see it in Galaxy...
