GOG Galaxy is always popping up when I start my computer lately on two separate computers. I made sure the setting that starts it on startup is unchecked (which it already was) and no MSCONFIG starup apps list GOG as a service. Why is this happening?

Most likely cause is Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, which restarts the applications that were open when you restarted (or shut down? not sure) the machine. Close Galaxy before shutting down and it shouldn't start.
