I just installed GOG Galaxy, rebooted PC and it just doesn't start. My firewall prompts me that it's connecting to the Internet so I "allow".... then nothing. Yes I tried disabling my firewall and running as admin.

small bug
galaxy not respecting settings for notifications, apparently - have it set to not notify me when items on my wishlist go on sale but it still pings orange on my taskbar and flashes the "!" on the little docked icon

it's really aggravating and distracting though so i'd like it to not do that

You should not report Galaxy bugs here. As you can see a few posts above you here there's a better way. My experiences however with support regarding Galaxy issues are extremely bad though - so don't expect too much.
