Before GOG Galaxy 2.0 was released it mattered for me on which platform are my games. I even passed on free games that Epic Games Store had to offer, because I preferred GOG and Steam. Now the situation changed. I have one launcher which I use to run all of my games. I barely notice that a certain game requires Steam, Epic or other launcher. They run and close automatically when I stop playing. I have one, big list of games which I can organize using only one app. The achievements from other platforms are displayed in GOG Galaxy in the same way as achievements from GOG games. The only difference are the achievement notifications that pop up during play. I have one common play time which is also a neat feature.

Don't get me wrong. I still prefer to buy games at GOG. The DRM-free feature is still very attractive to me, even despite the fact that I use GOG Galaxy 2.0 to run games from GOG. At this point however I'm indifferent about other launchers. It doesn't matter for me whether it's Steam, Epic or Origin. I use Galaxy 2.0 as my main launcher, so almost everything looks the same no matter what platform a certain game requires. That's why a grabbed some free games on Epic in the last few weeks and I'm perfectly fine with it.

If you haven't tried GOG Galaxy 2.0 yet, be sure to do so. You might love it just as I did. :)
