The gog community wishlist is a fantastic idea, however it is plagued by ton of duplicates and no filters between old, current and future released games. What is the current level of moderation of this list, and would gog consider opening a community moderation board of some sort to handle this and make it a useful tool again?

I'm a big advocate for the community wishlist and encourage everyone to vote for games they want here, but I have to admit it could be a lot better. Recently the staff have been more on top of marking wishes as "completed" when they show up, and you can hide wishes marked as "completed". But overall the community wishlist is a very low priority for them unfortunately. Things don't change much round these parts, or they change at a snail's pace.
This post should act as a sort of moderation for the community wishlist, as far as I know:

That's a step but definitely not ideal. With the news of the gog financial problems I hope they can figure things out.
There's not even a way to track one's own wishes on the wishlist.

The whole website is a mess, from the purple dot, to things like replies not working. The only focus now is galaxy.
