Hey so, from my understanding GOG will connecta all your platforms into one platform, meaning all my friends and games will be acessable on one client. So my question is; IF I buy a game on GOG, will it be shown on my steam page that I'm playing that specific game or not?
Long live the Galaxy free gaming!

I don't think anyone knows the answer to that but it's not very likely. You'll basically still be playing the games on the platform they came on, you'll just be able to launch them from the client. So there's no reason your GOG game would display on Steam, it wouldn't even start up the client since it doesn't need it.
