Not in but i would like to draw attention to one of the most underrated strategy games ever: War Inc.

As for discussion/interesting facts about strategies from my past experiences - here is the one fact I am really mad about and that could interest you also - King's Bounty: The Legend, the first game in the series.

I do not know if it is fixed (it probably is) but as much as I loved this game I hate GOG because of it. :( Why? Here is my story of the whole thing: http://www.gog.com/forum/general_archive/kings_bounty_gog_version_is_bugged/page1

The story in short: I bought KB: The Legend and (as a fan of HoMM series, especially the 3rd part) I did fall in love with it. But it happened that GOG's version had a few game breaking bugs. I spent a huge amount of time (my 1st and only game was on hardest difficulty with my own goal "not to lose any single unit" so it needed a lot of strategy thinking) not really knowing about them, but finding them made me really sad. In the end game has turned out to be a huge waste of time for me as after GOG's KB's patch I could not reload my save games.

Now, after release of next parts of King's Bount - I still really want to buy/play them but the other inside part of me hates/ is afraid of them to be another waste of time so I am just not able to buy/play them. :(

It is so painful for me every time I can see them on sale (like now)...

Well, that's my little sad story, I still hope you liked it.

I love both rts and tbs. Just depends on my mood I guess. Growing up StarCraft dominated. I also enjoyed Age of Wonders and Civ 3.

*edit* My other big game was BG2. Doesn't fall into the tbs or rts buckets, but I loved it.
