Thank you very much for the game Shivers. I appreciate the game and you holding a great giveaway. Hoping 2022 is great for everyone.
Congratz to winners and thanks Panaias for Myst!!
Thank you so much Panaias! For the giveaway, it's very original idea that helps to get inspired and your generous gift of Myst :)
Congratulations to all the winners & participants (literally) :)
Happy 2022 everyone!
Ooops, I'm late :)
Congrats to the winners and thank you, Panaias, for a giveaway – and a great selection of adventures!

Also – congrats for leaving your (dis)comfort zone and it's really great that you find a job you love! Regarding this line – "Oooh you're a very experienced professional but we want at least 5yrs in this or that" – it was never a case in my actual job. For us people who don't know some technology are still welcome IF they're really determined to learn it. We've never regret hiring people, who are motivated to learn new things and even if their skills may be "under development", they're still better to work with as they're usually motivated and enthusiastic. I hope you'll keep this attitude as long as possible and I'm sure your new employer will be happy with the decision. Good luck!

Never too late... ;)

To all - this was my first giveaway here, so I hope you liked it and your gifts.

In case you didn't pay attention (why wouldn't you? aren't you an adventurous-detective type of person??), all selected games are 1st person point 'n click adventures - my favorite type.

@GOG: Hopefully, next year we'll have many more games of this type - RHEM series, Faust, Morpheus, Black Cube series... the list could go on forever. It would be nice to have more variety for a sequel to this giveaway next year ;)

I wish you all a great new year, full of only good surprises!
...and adventures! Have lot of good adventures – not only those point&click ones, but preferably first-person and always happy-ended ;)

Thanks, Panaias once again and now let's log into 2022 :D
Thanks a bunch, @Panaias, for the heart-warming GA theme, and for the lovely gift; you brightened my day with the thoughtfulness you put in it and the delivery.

Also thanks to peeps for their stories, and congrats to all other winners.

Happy 2022, everyone!

I'm late to the party, I know. I had bookmarked this thread but then forgot all about it. Just wanted to chime in to say that for a first-time giveaway, it was a great theme about positivity and adventures! :D Hope you make this an annual tradition! ;)

Panaias: And here I am now, a couple of months later, waking up every morning looking forward to chat and code with my new teammates. Now I am happier. I smile every morning and even when I do not sleep well, I put all my strength in my new job.
^ I know this feeling. Used to work for an awesome employer a few years back. Gonna add this to my 2022 resolutions. I miss waking up happy. :P

Thanks for the kind words!
I definitely want to repeat this, hopefully people will have good moments to share :)
If you liked this kind of games, please vote for more similar games to come @GOG in the community wishlist.
You can find tons of them in this thread.

It's a great feeling, not only because you're working for an awesome employer but also because it's an awesome accomplishment. Kind of like trying hard and finally getting a new ability that unlocks new places to discover, Metroid-style :)
I wish you all the best for this year, stay healthy and go get those happy mornings back!
