I do wish GOG would send a notice when removing revoked games from giftees' libraries, rather than simply have them disappear (as I assume is what happens) - that would help to avoid confusion and shift the blame where it actually belongs.
baileyayre: got the code from g2a, the game was downloading and was temporarily in my library but will not show up now.
I'm sorry this happened to you. Unfortunately, it's quite a common occurrence here to see threads about games being bought from G2A and then disappearing. It's not that GOG is punishing you from buying from G2A or anything like that - they have no way of knowing where you got the game from - but most likely that they receive a chargeback on the original payment for the game, and then revoked the purchase of the gift code, causing he game to vanish.
In a nutshell, G2A has legitimate sellers but also happens to be a haven for credit card thieves wishing to launder money. They use stolen credit card details to buy gift codes, and sell them on G2A for prices lower then the cheapest they've ever been on sale so that they get bought before the credit card owner has a chance to can cancel the transaction. Only a fraction of the defrauded card owners get the charges reversed, and of those that do only a fraction of defrauded G2A buyers who lose the now-revoked games get their money back from G2A. All the rest goes into the thieves' pockets.
I recommend that you seek a refund from G2A, and get a chargeback ASAP if they refuse or drag their heels.
