Hi all. Are the folder structures for games installed via the GG client different to stand alone installs? I am concerned to install games like Morrowind with client as I'm obviously going to mod them.

Thanks for reading,

Assuming you mean galaxy client, why bother. Download the offline installers and install it someone not in windows folders (e.g c:/mygames). Then you can take multiple copies of this and mod to hearts content.
I would personally direct you to openmw:

It's really coming along.

I don't use Galaxy, but it does install things to a different location than the default location used by the standalone installers.
If you're worried, I should think that installing the game via the "backup" installer, then importing it into Galaxy afterwards, would leave the game in its original install location; I'm not sure if that's the case, though.

I should also mention that you can disable auto-updates in Galaxy -- either globally, or for individual games (such as those you might plan to mod, so that the client doesn't think there's something wrong with the modded game and, therefore, won't try to "fix" it).

Absolutely Fine I do that to a lot of games (that have mods for them) with steam and Galaxy if it comes to the launching of Morrowind you Might wanna change the custom Launchers name to the name of the *.exe file though and rename morrowind.exe to something else
