Whether you’re a seasoned gaming veteran or a casual player, being a GOG’s newsletter subscriber can offer you a range of benefits that can enhance your experience on our store even more, get access to the best deals and make sure you never miss anything that’s worth your attention!

It’s incredibly simple, intuitive and takes just a few clicks right HERE. But let’s take a closer look at why exactly it is a great idea to do so.

First of all, subscribing to our newsletter makes you the very first person to know about everything you wouldn’t want to miss. And that means releases, sales, flash deals, giveaways, contests, events and special announcements.

A couple of examples:

Let’s say it’s May 25th and you have a really busy week, not much time to go on our website and browse all the cool stuff. At the same time your mind has been lately occupied by this craving to play some great classic Warhammer-based title and you’ll most likely search for one when the weekend begins. Well, in this scenario, if you’re our newsletter subscriber, you would receive this email:

…and eliminate any chances of missing the window to grab this awesome addition to your library for free!

Now, how about a situation when you’ve been wanting to play some outstanding RPG titles but the money is quite tight and you don’t really know what to pick. Yet again, the newsletter comes to the rescue! We will not only inform you that a specific sale is happening but also tell you what great deals are within it, what releases joined the catalog and recommend some discounted must-haves!

What’s probably the coolest thing about being a newsletter subscriber is that you are eligible for the exclusive, all-time high discounts.

These are special offers just for the subscribers and their discounts are higher than for anyone else. It is the best way to get access to the absolute bargains, enrich your library with outstanding games while saving money and be ahead of the curve!

How does it work? We just send you a time-limited discount code via email with a button to instantly redeem it. And that’s all – you’ve just snatched an incredible offer.

Newsletter is also an amazing tool to keep track of releases and special offers on any games that you have on your wishlist.

There’s no need to check everyday if there’s any new information about the release date or if any discounts have appeared in store. You just sit back, relax, play your favorite titles, and we will notify you whenever the gems on your wishlist are released or have their prices cut down.

To sum it up, by subscribing to our newsletter you will not only not a miss a thing, whether it’s an information about the sale that you’re interested in, flash deal, contest you’d like to take part in, giveaway you’d like to claim, anticipated release, special announcement or event, but also gain access to exclusive, subscribers-only discounts which are higher than those that normally appear in store.

And if you’re wondering if the newsletter won’t overwhelm you with messages and notifications then do not worry. We both make sure that every alert we send is valuable and give you the option to manage which ones you want to receive by just checking or unchecking the appropriate boxes.

Join our newsletter today and start making full use of GOG’s gaming goodness. We’ve heard some trust-worthy whispers that awesome offers will soon come your way!

octalot: They're trying to hire someone - click on "Career opportunities" at the bottom of the page.
GOG won't be hiring new engineers anytime soon. Check out their Glassdoor reviews.
Not much meaning and i cant even see this "service" because not signed in. If you actually have to rob or steal privacy in order to rob you or show privacy... this is just a "switch" in power from the ones affected to the ones apparently knowing the truth.

To be fair: As bigger a company becomes, in general... as more shortcomings toward the weaker "members" of this company. The big success or earning are usually at the cost of the weakest and with increased size the weakest will increase exponentially.

I am not so sure if "Amazon", "Google" (the owner of those critical "truth-revealers"... wow) or even "Steam" got that much better conditions in comparison. Ultimately it always depends on your current spot inside a certain company. If you are at a worse spot... it does not really matter the bigger name tag... it may always be rather inferior. Because the gain of the strong always comes at the cost of the weak. Look at todays politics... everywhere in the world... it is the same situation just about everywhere. The low- and middleclass is constantly losing and just the most or more upper class is benefiting like mad... year after year... there is no changes at all. You can look out for black sheeps but they do not really exist or... if so... you can point just at almost anyone... no one is able to stay "white"; i am sure. Because of the corrupt and non humanistic economy... we apparently still do enjoy it year after year; if we do not... we may stop supporting it. But we do not care in general... we just look out for getting the personally "best deals" and "best conditions", the hidden cost is usually ignored. The winner is the more powerful... however, i can say for sure: The "little user" as long as they do not support the weak may become weak aswell... someday. Because they will be stripped of any rights they seem to own... and all what may be left is the "glorious" past. We always have to think more in long term and with a wider perspective... if we do not... someday the current perspective will become so narrow minded, it may die together with all what was important to us. Those wo do not know their possibilitys and are not making it happen, they may just fade and be guided by something else way more powerful than themself.

Truth is, especially the smallest may have worse conditions, but it does not matter if you are small as a individual or small as a company, both counts. So, you can be inside the most powerful company... and someday you will be fired all of a sudden because you got 100x lesser money than the best paid one... and this is still to much for them because it is "just you". As long as it does work this way... almost worldwide... do not point at companys. Rather try to see the whole picture and if the "hard work" and maybe "worse conditions" may actually see some bright horizon... or simply "is it worth it" for the sake of something bigger or unfortunately not.

Actually it may be good if there is more bad reviews because most likely "many people was inside the same boat". If there is a high fluctuation... there might be a bigger gap between "high" and "low"... and you only should pray that you are not part of the "low" ones. if so... i am sure... the more powerful ones may be able to "shut your mouth"... they will always find a way... as long as they got sufficient might; it is all about "who is in charge" in todays world, not "who is actually owning the truth"... truth is most powerful but the issue is, those already powerful will simply be able to "set the truth"... so it works toward their own interest.

You may moan at someone else not sooo powerful, but not at someone REALLY powerful, else your doomed inside any sort of specific industry... then you can only try to become a true indie... the only option left, in extreme cases. Works the same with politics in term a huge majority goes against the weaker minority... not very advisable to be "on the weaker side". i tell... it is a hard cookie to gnaw on.

trusteft: Among the proper ones, from time to time I now receive one with American prices and slightly different format. What gives?
Me too. And they're not only useless, but have also bugged overlay issues.

Otherwise I'm fine with the intended Euro newsletters. Used the discount promo keys a fucking lot. Ta!

Well, duh...of course you can't access (or even look into) your "privacy" settings without being logged in...wouldn't be very "private" if you could, hm?

Cavalary: Would be nice if you could not miss news by checking the front page, not having them scroll completely off after just a few hours. I mean, today that small number of news articles that can be shown got filled in four hours!
Glad you're mentioning it, I support it too! I can understand, why they want to limit it on the front page, but a link (or even a news tab among the others) to an extra news page, where you can look up all the other "older" news, would be extremely useful & beneficial. This is imho the most overdue feature of all!

I mean, 11 news aren't that much. And at this very moment the oldest is only a fucking day old. Nuff said.

I don't know what I was expecting, but I'm not surprised.
The easiest and fastest solution would be dumping all the news in a separate subforum, because they're drowning too fast in the General discussion.

Remove the DRM from your games (Cyberpunk and The Witcher 3) and make other publishers remove their DRM too, and I might subscribe to your newsletter. I will even start buying games here again, if you return to being a DRM-free store. My wishlist is long, but it won't get shorter as long as you keep selling DRM-ed games!

For Glassdoor, those reviews are pretty positive.

Xeshra: What DRM?
In the case of Cyberpunk and The Witcher 3 the DRM is 'only' on the cosmetic "Rewards", which require Galaxy.

For other games with single player DRM check here:

I'm not even counting DRMed multiplayer, which has become the norm in GOG.
Okay... i was looking into it, at the correct topic:
