I'm really interested in the event so I'm curious if you guys know any good documentaries about it.Preferably in english, or in german with subtitles available.(not to be confused with the Reunification :D )
A very interesting snippet of time for all of Europe, the 18-1900's was I guess rather more interesting in Germany.
I could not find any actual documentary's on the unification (I am rather disappointed as I was sure there was one from the BBC), but I hope this might be interesting. All are in English as I cannot check German links - my German is atrocious to non-existent.

It is a short run trough of the time to help US students study.

From the BBC

A rather short bit of information about the time, again it appears to be more of a study aid then a teaching tool.

A lecture by Professor Richard J Evans from Gresham College

Extra Credits - World War I: The Seminal Tragedy - Chapter 1

A short and simplistic set of episodes about the lead up to WW1. Not a bad series either.

Thanks!
German really requires commitment, consistency, and a balanced methodology. By laying out clear objectives, drenching yourself in the language, rehearsing routinely, and using different assets, you can gain huge headway in your language-learning venture. Make sure to embrace errors and remain persuaded in the meantime. With time and determination, you'll wind up communicating in German with certainty and capability. Viel Glück (Best of luck) in your language learning attempts!
Maybe not a lot in quantity if you are looking for specific Unification documentaries, but an alternative could be any documentary about Otto Von Bismark, it shouldn't be a lot of them, either, but you should be doubling your chances.

Indeed, that interesting period (German/Italian Unifications, War of the Duchies, French-Prussian Wars etc...) is less populated in History channels than the World Wars themselves
