Also, boolean would be very nice for the keyword(s) field. Examples:

Keywords field: Linux AND Wine
Keywords field: Linux NOT Wine

Or some convenient equivalent, including AND OR NOT. Some search engines do it like this:

OR keywords: Linux Wine

AND keywords: "Linux" AND "Wine"

Keywords with negation: Linux -Wine

Other search engine syntax examples: https://duck.co/help/results/syntax

Also, where it is nice having boolean search available, using boolean syntax is not required where some users won't use it anyway.

Nice list. With keyword "medical" I found "Life & Death" a chirugical simulation DOS game I played in my childhood which I was searching for long time.

higix: Giving this another look over, I'm confused by the meaning of having same-named attributes across different dropdown fields. For example, the 'Genre' dropdowns include 'role-playing' and 'action', as does the 'Mechanics' dropdown. It isn't intuitive to me what this means.

Also a suggestion from earlier discussion: It isn't intuitive to me what the blank field after the dates fields is for. I only know what it is for because you told me what it is for in an earlier post. But for a user who hasn't received an explanation, it probably will not be intuitive. So my suggestion here is to include an italic and grey color 'Keyword' in that field by default along with an example usage note below the search such as:
Keyword*
*Include a keyword for Linux, for example. Or any keyword not included in other fields.

Genre contains root/main genres.
Combining them is optional and allows to mix them freely if needed.
For example, when checking wikipedia, there is no such thing like "Action Driving" (GTA 5).
Mechanics are more detailed subgenres or gameplay features.
When checking "Action RPG" in wikipedia: "Action role-playing video games (abbreviated action RPG or ARPG) are a subgenre of role-playing video games.".

Last field is completely optional and added for experiments only.
HELP button was made for more details, especially about keywords field.
There are already search basics inspired by google standards.
Any additional keyword (up to 5) separated by space is used as "AND", minus sign as "NOT", quotation marks for phrase or exact word ("4x" will not match 4x4, while 4x will do, and "vampire" will not match vampires, while vampire will do), and there is no "OR" currently (it might be represented by slash sign in the future).
All this is mentioned under HELP button, so let me paste this note:

KEYWORDS - Defines maximum of five keywords separated by space.
Minus sign can be used for exclusion (example: -anime).
Quotation marks can be used for whole phrase (example: "action rpg") or exact word (example: "4x"), and combined with exclusion if needed (example: -"action rpg").
Keywords can be related to anything, allowing advanced filtration and specific results.
There are thousands possible words from various aspects, so experiment by typing very short what you are looking for.
For example, to find games that are based on "Dungeons and Dragons", but are not using "Forgotten Realms" setting: dungeons dragons -"forgotten realms"

Thanks for the clarifications. I guess for whatever reasons, I wasn't noticing what was already there.

It is always useful to know various points of view, so thanks too.

Update: 6,000+ more titles have average critic score
Some proposals

It would be nice to have a message how much games have been found with one search. So you can better estimate how much more filters you should use to get a "reasonable" result list.

And maybe a higher limit of total displayed games with one search.

Finally it would be nice if the list could be sorted by name.

There is 200+ limit, which means that more than 200 titles are listed if they fit the same order criteria (same year or score) as last one (200th).
New changes include your suggestions, so now it should better suit your needs.

Update:
- quick link to game screenshots
- pagination for lists longer than 200 titles
- alphabetical order option
